Aims and motivation

Project aim
To find how globalisation affects an individuals cultural identity.

Group rationale
We think its very interesting as it is something that we deal on a daily basis. We think it is much more interesting to investigate something that you experience. We also believe that the future will be heavily influenced by this; making us agree that it is a topic that people should be aware of. Our idea started as something very vague with the simple concept of globalisation and culture, but as we started to discuss it further, more ideas developed and suddenly the project turned into something more than a simple deadline.

Target audience
Everyone from around the world, as this issue is not limited to a certain country.

Outcome
To raise awareness about globalisation so that people can maintain their own cultural identity and realize how amazing their country really is, while having a union with other countries. We want to achieve this by creating a website that informs people about what globalisation is, showing interviews and conversations with people from all around the world; trying to unite their ideas so we can create an international opinion about it. To make the website more interesting, we want to include a video, where we answer most of the questions the people we interviewed asked. By doing this, we want to engage with the people around the world and hopefully make them more interesting in this. One of the main things we want to show is to what extent is globalisation a good thing; and why people should be proud of who they are and where they come from.

Are we ready to get started with our group project?

Yes because we organized ourselves pretty quickly, we already placed roles for each member. We listen to each other, and we know each others strengths and weaknesses from a did based on the Belbin Self Perception Analysis, helping us create those weaknesses into strengths. We also have an idea and agreed on what to do the project on, without arguing and taking into consideration every opinion. We have already started to plan what our aim is and how we shall accomplish it. One of the main things we have put into consideration is how to make the project interesting for us and for people who will look at it.
