The Denver Regional Council of Governments and its partners were awarded $4.5 million in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to help get the greatest benefit from the investment already being made in transit throughout the region. This grant, along with additional investments from all the partners, is known as the Sustainable Communities Initiative, or SCI. SCI is helping make smart choices around transit so it works for people of all ages, incomes and abilities and preserves quality of life in the Denver region.
