VOCABULARY ASSIGNMENTS (250 points): Product and oral defense is 250 points total. For each MiniLesson, complete one of the following vocabulary assignments. This is to be done at home, or after you finish the assigned classwork for the day. 1. Option 1: Index Cards: Make index cards for each of the terms. On one side of the card, write the term. On the other side, write definition, examples, location, and any other relevant information. 2. Option 2: Glossary: on a piece of paper, write a definition, and a sentence for each term

OBJECTIVE ONE ACTIVITIES: The Scientific Revolution (you must choose one). 50 points. 1. Option 1: Complete the graphic organizer and questions based on the reading. Cite evidence from the text and discussion. 2. Option 2: You will create a fact flip book about Causes of the Scientific Revolution. Use your notes as research for this task. Label the top flap of the flip book The Scientific Revolution. Include TWO illustrations on this top flap. Also, include your name and period here as well OBJECTIVE TWO ACTIVITIES: Scientists Challenge the Church (you must choose one) 50 points. 1. Option 1: Create a playbill or poster that advertises the performance of The Recantation of Galileo Galilei.. 2. Option 2: Student create a resume for an influential scientist. OBJECTIVE THREE ACTIVITIES: The Enlightenment (you must choose one). 50 points. 1. Complete the answers for your assigned Enlightenment thinker. Your answers must cite specific evidence from the text and be in complete sentences. You must have one set of answers per group. See rubric. OBJECTIVE FOUR ACTIVITIES: The Enlightenment (50pts) 1. Complete the thought bubble using evidence from your group work. OBJECTIVE FIVE ACTIVITIES: The Enlightenment Press Conference (you must choose one) 50 pts. 1. Present information about your Enlightenment thinker during the Press Conference. See the rubric. OBJECTIVE SIX ACTIVITIES: The Enlightenment and the American Revolution 1. Option 1: Create a political cartoon showing the grievances the colonists had against King George. Your cartoon should have a caption and a short paragraph explaining the symbolism you used. See the political cartoon rubric. 2. Option 2: Create a birthday card/poster to present to the United States this July 4th. The poster should include images or quotes that demonstrate the ideals upon which the nation was founded. 3. Option 3: Write a letter to King George III about the state of American under salutary neglect. Explain why it is necessary for the American people to declare the important of certain natural rights and why the king should consider the idea of human freedoms.
