USB Encoders
This module emulates a USB keyboard, mouse, and joystick. 108 Individual programmable inputs in addition to a trackball input, spinner input, two rotary encoder inputs, and three analog inputs for joystick action. Excellent choice for PC gaming, flight sim applications and much more.

PS/2 Encoders
This PS/2 interface features 72 programmable inputs, an optional trackball interface and an RS-232 port. Perfect for PC gaming, flight sim applications, and more!

Our most popular unit, and the ultimate in flexibility! The KE24 interfaces keypads and switches to your PS/2 keyboard port. Inputs can be scanned as individual lines, a matrix, or a combination. The RS-232 port can translate received data into keystrokes.

This module emulates a USB keyboard and scans a matrix up to 12 x 12. Programmable options make this product an excellent choice when interfacing off-the-shelf keypads to the USB port on the PC.

KE24 KE-USB24

A Solid Performer. Simple yet versatile, can scan 18 individual inputs or a 9x9 matrix. Options are jumper selectable so no programming is required. PS/2 keyboard interface.

Programmable USB device which emulates both a USB keyboard and a USB mouse. Features 36 individual inputs which may be programmed to any standard keystroke or mouse button. Trackball interface is standard on this unit.

Small size and programmability make this unit ideal for interfacing keypads and other devices to your PS/2 keyboard port. Configurable matrix scanning up to 12 x 12 provides a direct connection to many off-the-shelf keypads.

Single Chip Encoders

The Hagstrom Electronics KEIC encoder IC is available as a 40 pin DIP or 44 pin PLCC package. This unit scans up to a 12 x 12 matrix and also features a serial interface option.

Protocol Converters

KEIC KE18-XTAT-PS2
The Hagstrom Electronics KEIC-USB encoder IC is available as a 40 pin DIP or 48 pin SSOP package. This unit scans up to a 16 x 8 matrix and also features a mouse interface option. This PS/2 interface accepts input from an XT keyboard and converts it for use with a PC that accepts PS/2 input.

KE-XTUB
This USB device changes XT keyboard protocol into USB keyboard protocol. Allows use of your vintage XT keyboard on any PC with a standard USB port.

KE18-ATAT-PS2
This unit accepts input from a PS/2 style keyboard and converts it to XT keyboard protocol. Use this product to run a PS/2 keyboard on a machine that needs an XT style keyboard, such as a CNC machine or vintage PC.

KEIC-USB

The Hagstrom Electronics REIC encoder IC is available as a 20 pin DIP device or 20 pin SOIC. This unit scans up to a 5 x 5 matrix and also has a serial port option.

Wallace and Gromit Powered by Hagstrom

Hagstrom Electronics worked extensively with Aardman Animations, the production company of Wallace and Gromit, to create a single chip encoder for filming. Our custmoized-single chip encoder enabled the production crew to have precise control over lighting, and the results? Three short films, The Wrong Trousers, A Close Shave, A Grand Day Out, and two full length feature Wallace and Gromit and The Cuse of the Were-Rabbit, have all received Academy Awards.

Rotary Switch Interface

The Rotary-5 module converts quadrature signals from mechanical and/or optical rotary switches to logic level pulses. The unit is capable of operating as a stand alone device, or may be used with one of our keyboard encoder products. The Rotary-5 outputs are suitable for driving direct inputs on our keyboard encoders to produce a keystroke or keystrokes for each change of position of the rotary switch.

Relay Module
The Relay-8 unit provides eight independent relay outputs under control of serial communcation. The unit runs from a single 5V DC supply and may be used with our KE-232IF cable to connect to RS-232 signals.

Potentionmeter Interface
The KEAD6 USB Keyboard Encoder translates signals from up to six potentiometers into joystick axes and can also send keystrokes based on the potentiometer movement. The unit is fully programmable and is an excellent choice for interfacing potentiometers to the PC.
