Summer is finally here and things
are starting to heat up at Weogufka
2nd Baptist. Every day we continue to
see just how wonderful our God truly
is. God’s word tells us that if we have
faith like a mustard seed we can
move mountains, I really believe we
are about to see some mountains
being moved. The congregation of
this church is made up of many
diverse and wonderful people, people
that love the Lord and want to see
his work done. Thank you for what
you mean to me and my family and
for blessing us here each and every
day. May God’s blessings be upon
you in the month of July.

I feel it is a great honor and priviledge

Music Ministry at Weogufka Second
Baptist. I feel at this point in time in
the ministry this is exactly where God
would have me to be. I feel like great
things are about to happen. I would
encourage anyone who will, to come
and join Gods music ministry at
Weogufka Second Baptist.

Ladies Discipleship Training
Our ladies are studying about some of the
women in the Bible and how we, as
Christians, can relate to their struggles to
live in faith and obedience to God.
We encourage all our ladies to come and
participate in this study and discussion.
We all have a desire to grow spiritually and
to grow closer to God. The following is just
one way we can implement that growth.

As we celebrate our independence this
month, let’s remember our military men
and women, and those who fought for our
freedom, many giving their lives.

Women on Mission Report
The WOM met June 29 at Linda Green’s
house. We had 8 in attendance and it was
good to be with Linda again. We wish
our “fearless leader” a speedy recovery!
We discussed several different
mission/ministry opportunities. The first
will be July 28 at 2:00pm at the Coosa
Valley Nursing Home. We will be hosting
the July birthday party. Everyone is
invited to attend. You will truly be
blessed! The next thing we discussed was
collecting school supplies for children.
School starts in early August so we want
to go ahead and start gathering items
such as loose leaf paper, pens, pencils,
notebooks, glue, etc. A basket will be
placed in the vestibule. Other projects
that we may take on include collecting
items for the Ronald McDonald house,
handing out free bottles of water with
our church information at the Trade
Day, collecting winter coats for the
Jerusalem Mission. As you can see, once
we got started the ideas just kept coming!
It’s great to get excited about serving the
Lord. There certainly will never be a
shortage of opportunities. If you know of
a mission/ministry project please let one
of us know. Remember, we’re all in this
together!
Business meeting
Business meetings are held the
second Monday of every month at
6:00pm. However, this month, due to
VBS the meeting will move to the 3rd
Monday of the month. Please bring a
covered dish for supper and fellowship
before the meeting. ( The meeting for
the month of July is scheduled for the
20th).
 Taste of Tradition

Please see (or call) Brooke Baird or Jean Braden to purchase a copy of the new church
cookbook. Or let them know if you would like to help sell them. Proceeds are going
towards a church playground. Thank you for all your support.

Neighborhood Watch Yoders Family Traditions

The monthly meeting for the
Community Neighborhood Watch
is held the 3rd Thursday of each
month at 6:30pm in the Weogufka
school lunchroom. All area residents
are invited to attend. Please bring a
covered dish for supper.
