The Great Store (Convenient Store)

Introductory Page Executive Summary

We are planning for a convenience store designed for tourist and also for the community of Cavinti. Our convenience store will be located at Cavinti, Laguna. Cavinti is the largest town and a 3rd class municipality in the province of Laguna in the Philippines. Our competitors are mostly from other convenience stores, it can also come from supermarkets. Based from the area, other competitors can be found 10km away from the district. Approximately having 2-3 grocery stores can be found in the town. Convenience store is way more than a mini-store or sari-sari store Convenient store purposes is for tourist and also for the community of Laguna itself.

We came up to an idea of a full-blown convenient store that has a variety of product that can be used for household, instant foods, instant beverages, essential needs for daily lives, bathroom and hygienic products, a little of school supplies and journals or newspaper are all available in our said convenient store.

Our group surveyed tourist and the some of the community people itself. We figured out that a lot from this community agreed that tourist a very visible in their town for hiking and mountaineering. So they all clearly suggested to have a convenient store in the their town for the tourist sake and for more income opportunity in their town.

As we tally out our income and other cost. We decided to look for a wholesale store in manila, in which we will restock twice every month for edible supplies, while once a month for the non-edible supplies. Because if we keep on restocking every week that is very inconvenient in our part and very high cost for our business plan.

The design and layout of the store is simple to keep costs down. According to the municipal government we should be able to comply with the following: municipal business

license, building permit, vendor permit, packaging and labeling, fire safety standards or regulations, weights and measures of products and retail sales tax.

For the convenient store building itself, we are planning to make it simple and very useful not just for the tourist but also for the benefit of the community. We decided to have at least three to four personnel in the store. Two at the cashier while two for the maintenance of the store itself and for security.

This idea of setting up a convenient store is a franchising method, though we did not copy or imitate any names of a well-known convenient store, thus, we still pursue and willing to put up a convenient store that can be as useful as it can be for the community. We all summarize this business plan The Mini-store (Convenient store) for the Cavinti community and also for the tourist visiting Cavinti,Laguna for their harmonious and simple way of life living we give them an extraordinary instant and easy yet simple way of living they want to earn.

III Industry Analysis a. Future Outlook and Trends As we plan for our convenient store, our group also think of what are the different trends and get ups we want to fulfill in our future outlook for our convenient store. Small cost of products, buy one take one promotions and also were looking for new products to be sold in our convenient store for essential purposes and other purposes needed. b. Analysis of competitors As time goes by, we all know that other people are also planning to have their own business. Maybe its a small store or a grocery store. As we analyze those events, were promoting our store for us to be able to upgrade and for our costumer to always purchase our product in our convenient store.

c. Market segmentation Our business plan is a convenient store. Market segmentation is not really a big deal in our business plan. We are just planning to have one store in the town and as time goes by were planning to have a unique promotion for the town and also outside the town.

d. Industry and market forecasts Our Industry and Market forecast, as we noticed on our survey, tourist are very visible in the town of Cavinti, and we observed that the community itself wants to have atleast a mini-store or such Convenient store for them not to travel 20-30 minutes away on their main market or the down town. So, we believe that our market and industry will increase up high as time goes by and as much promotion we can be able to put up on.

IV. Description Venture a. Products Our proposed products are; Instant food, Instant drinks, Household paraphernalia and cleaning agents, essential goods, hygienic products, journals, school supplies , and emergency products b. Services Convenient store, tour service is to reach out tourist who visit the said town and also for the community people itself. For them not to travel a mile before they got what they need. c. Size of Business Small portion of part of cavinti laguna, approximately atleast 50-80 sq.m for our store plus 20 sq.m for our storage room. Thats all we need for setting up our business Convenient Store d. Office equipment and personnel As mentioned, were planning to have three to four personnel. One for cashier, two for the maintenance of the store one is for the security and stock manager. e. Background of entrepreneurs As a student of University of Santo Tomas, Ms. Dela Rosa, Ms. Dolor, Ms. Jucutan, and Mr. Mercado. We are the entrepreneurs who are planning to build up a convenient store in Cavinti, Laguna. We took up BA9, Entrepreneurship; under our great knowledgeable and well mastered in Marketing plan Mr. Jojo Villamin.
