SECTION VI – HEALTH HAZARD DATA
POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS:
Eyes – Contact can cause moderate irritation. May cause moderate corneal injury, which may
result in permanent impairment of vision, even blindness.
Skin – Brief contact may cause slight irritation. Prolonged contact may cause more sever
irritation and discomfort, seen as local redness and swelling.
Ingestion – May cause abdominal discomfort, nausea, and diarrhea.
Inhalation – Mechanically generated mist may cause irritation to the respiratory tract.

FIRST AID:
Eye Contact – Immediately flush with copious amounts of water for at least 30 minutes. Consult
physician, preferably an ophthalmologist.
Skin Contact – Immediately flush with copious amounts of water then soap and water for at least
5 minutes. If irritation persists, contact physician. Launder contaminated clothing before reuse.
Ingestion – Drink several glasses of water. Do not induce vomiting. Call a physician or poison
control center immediately. Do not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Inhalation – Remove to fresh air. Call a physician if symptoms persist.

CHRONIC INFORMATION: Material is non-carcinogenic. Excessive exposure may cause liver,


kidney effects.

Accidental Release Measures: Recover all material practical for use. Soak up balance with sand,
dirt or other absorbent and dispose of as solid waste. Wash residue to industrial sewer with
water. Avoid direct discharge to natural waterways or public supplies, highly toxic to fish.
