BATTLEFIELD DAMAGE- All incidents which occur on the battlefield that prevent the vehicle form accomplishing its mission. DAMAGE ASSESSMENT- Procedures to rapidly determine what is damaged, whether it is repairable, what is needed to make the repair, and how long the repair will take.
