Chippendale (1750-1790)

Stilul Chippendale este numit dup designerul i tmplarul britanic Thomas Chippendale, care a publicat desenele sale de mobil n "The Gentleman and Cabinet Maker's Director" n 1754. n Statele Unite, stilul Chippendale a fost o dezvoltare mai elaborat a stilului Queen Anne cu picioare cabriole i pr ile inferioare n form de minge i ghear.

Oriental Lacquerwork - A lacquer surface on which designs are drawn in gold or color; also referred to as Japanning or chinoiserie.
