Argus Self-Contained Hydraulic Pump Module (HPM)

For dependable zero emission shutdown in local or remote locations, use the Argus Self-Contained Hydraulic Pump Module for Emergency Shutdown Systems. Designed with environmental preservation in mind, this system does not require an external source of power and is adaptable for use with either quarter turn or linear actuators.

Consider these Features:

Simplied Control Circuit designed for use with the Argus Two-Line Pressure Pilot. Modular Design all functioning components are manifold mounted outside of the reservoir, to simplify maintenance and reduce downtime. Single Pressure System eliminates the need for low pressure regulators and relief valves on the control circuit. Sealed System pressure vacuum breather combats the formation of condensation in the uid reservoir. Manual Override is standard for quick shutdowns. Non-Foaming Hydraulics deector tting prevents entrapment of air in the hydraulic oil. Filtered Hydraulics lter elements strategically placed throughout the system assist in preventing damage to system components. Coated Components to combat corrosion. Enhanced Safety The use of an optional closed circuit fusible plug with our system returns uid directly to the reservoir (rather than to atmosphere) in the event of a re.

Operating Procedures:
To start up the ESD system, lift the arming lever on the Latching Trip Valve. Operate the hydraulic hand pump to open the ow-line valve. If the ow-line pressure does not come within the high and low set points of the Pressure Pilot, oil owing through the Bias Restrictor will slowly allow the ESD valve to close. If the ow-line pressure does come within the high and low set points of the Pressure Pilot, oil supplied through the Bias Restrictor energizes the Latching Trip Valve. When the Latching Trip Valve is energized the arming lever unlatches. The Pressure Pilot takes over control of the ESD system automatically.

Argus Hydraulic Pressure Pilot

Argus has taken the next step in providing you with a superior product. By incorporating the sensing capsule design of the Argus Pressure Switch, which has been eld proven for a number of years, we now offer you this same technology in the Argus Pressure Pilot.

Consider these features:

Simplies Control Circuits Designed for use with the Argus Self-Contained Hydraulic Pump Module. Controls a maximum circuit pressure of 1500 PSI (10,342 kPa), utilizing the same hydraulic pressure as the actuator. Utilizes an Inconel pressure sensing capsule (patented) to withstand sour and corrosive media in oil and gas applications from 50F (-46C) to plus 250F (+121C). All parts in contact with the media meet the requirements of NACE MR0175. Functionally simple, yet versatile, - each pressure spring covers a wide range, with only a few variations required to cover the full spectrum of pressure settings. Accurately responsive to working pressures ranging from a minimum of 20 PSI (138 kPa) to a maximum of 5000 PSI (13,789 kPa). All Argus Pilots are proof-tested to ensure seal integrity. All models use the same trim to prevent misapplication in the eld. All main components are manufactured from rolled bar and sheet stock. Rugged design prevents the need for resetting after installation. Easily adjustable set points. Separate springs for high and low pressure. Exceeding set point pressure will not alter the set point calibration. No brass or bronze components.
