THE CAVE - MANRESA
In March 1522, Ignatius of Loyola arrived at Manresa from Montserrat. He lived in Manresa for eleven months far longer than he intended. In a cave near the River Cardoner, Ignatius spent much time in prayer and reflection and it was in this cave that Ignatius was inspired to write his masterpiece, what is commonly known as The Spiritual Exercises. The cave is a natural grotto facing Montserrat and over which the Church, the Jesuit residence and the Centre of Spirituality are built. The Ignatian Way: A number of parishioners have requested the opportunity to view again the PowerPoint presentations of Fr Johns pilgrimage in Spain. You are invited to share this evening with Fr John on Wednesday, 6th November at 7.00pm. Please bring a plate to share for supper.

Prayer Cards for Healing: An invitation is extended to people in our parishes, and others in the wider community, to join the Sisters of Mercy by praying the prayer on the cards (see Gathering Space). The focus is for those families and individuals whose lives have been affected by abuse, especially sexual abuse.
