ACTIVITY

Key: Item/Concept = the run-down of what will happen during various sections of the lesson Activity = the location of study or the format of how the lesson process works (example: RDF: M. 3 refers to the piece and movement we are using during the activity whereas Discussion refers to what the class is doing) LB = Lip Benders (series of warm ups I can provide a copy of one of the parts in class if needed). There are 11 exercises that include long tones, technical/scalar and skips, tuning exercises, and chorales. This can be run straight down as a warm up running about 8-10 minutes or it can be used in small segments that are supplemented by other materials that aid in the development of techniques needed for concert literature performances. SR = Sight Reading RFD = Renaissance Festival & Dances (most often referred to with M. 3 meaning movement 3) TT = Technique Test (this would include scales and articulation exercises that are instrument specific and challenging) Edmodo = an educational website used as a Blackboard alternative that is designed for blog posting, grade tracking, assignment posting, etc. Students would interact via this website throughout the school year to learn more about composers, genres, time periods, technology, etc.

Some of the large concepts that might fit into a larger lesson if extracted are in bold type.
