TO OUR COMMUNITY. . .
THE WORSHIP OF GOD I mentioned some of my heroes the other day in this column

heroes. Sometimes we fail to notice those who quietly and

Call to Action: Annual church meeting after

worship
service August 9

Mark your calendar for the annual church meeting after

worship service on August 9. At this meeting we will elect a
new Trustee and committees to lead our church and discuss
other important church business. All church members 13
years of age or older are eligible
to vote. Please take advantage of this opportunity and
responsibility
to participate in the business of our church.

Under our bylaws a quorum of 25% of the voting members of

the church is required for a valid vote – approximately 50
people – but decisions for the future of our church deserve to
be made by a much greater number of members.

You may cast your vote in person or by a written, signed

proxy. A
form of proxy will be available in the church narthex or at the
church office for those who will not be able to attend the
meeting.
You also can email your proxy to the church office stating who
you
are authorizing to cast your vote or for whom you want to
vote –
be sure to include your name and phone number for
verification.
All proxies must be delivered to the church office before
August 9
or given to the moderator on August 9 to be counted.
