R.A.D. Teacher Training in Toronto

This past August, Miss Baker & Miss Harvie spent two weeks at an intensive training program as part of their two year Certicate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS). Throughout the coming year, RAD examiners will be in viewing their teaching techniques in various ballet classes as they complete their certication. Should you wish to learn more about the R.A.D., check out their website at www.rad.org.uk.

A Year has gone by...

Though it has now been a year since we lost Mr. Harvie, his presence is still felt a great deal around the studio- from the oors he built to the the countless photos along the walls. We miss the smile and upbeat humour he shared as he popped by for his nightly coffee visits, and are forever grateful for his part in Cumbraes success. Mrs. Harvie & Miss Harvie would like to sincerely thank everyone for their understanding as we have made adjustments along the way.

Please keep in mind when sending your child with snacks that we are a peanut- free facility. We do have a few students with us that have severe allergies. Please respect this and leave all peanut-related snacks at home! Thanks! We would also like to ask that all parents and students refrain from using cellphones in change-room areas. Please limit cellphone use to the front lobby area for noise and privacy issues. Students are always welcome to use the phone in the shop, and we recommend that they not bring mobile devices or other valuables to the studio. A wonderful workshop will be coming to Ottawa in January For more information and to register, check out their website! http://danceattackworkshop.com/january-25-26th-ottawa-on/
