Description of the Learner: The client is Ms. TEO (patients initials,) is a 24 year old female who recently undergone emergency appendectomy due to acute abdominal pain felt over the right lower quadrant. She is a college graduate and the preferred medium of instruction is either Tagalog or English. This if the first surgical procedure undergone by the client and further verbalizes that she lacks in-depth knowledge on how to manage the current health condition. No visual or hearing problems that may interfere with the learning process. Learning Need: Management for s/p appendectomy and prevention of complications brought by surgical procedure Leaning Diagnosis: Deficient Knowledge: Management of post appendectomy and Prevention of complications related to lack of exposure as evidenced by the fact that this was the first surgical procedure undergone by the client. Goal: After 1-2 hours of meaningful health education, the learner will be able to know the overview of her case, its management and prevention of complications brought by the surgical procedure.
