As Wellness specialists, Advanced Family Wellness believes that true health and self healing exists only when every single part of the body is functioning at 100% optimial potential. When we fall from this state we begin the disease process, often without symptoms until the disease is far advanced. Early signs of malfunctioning and disease are ofen attributed to 'aging' and include: low energy, difficulty sleeping, anxiety and depression, digestive troubles, aches and pains, heacdaches and migraines, lingering or frequent colds and flus, fertility issues, allergies and asthma, menstrual cramping, slowed metabolism and weight gain, difficulty breathing and more. The best time to take charge of your health, either unwell or already diagnosed with disease, is right now. Dr Margaret rozmawia po polsku! Naturopaths are required to complete a minimum of three years of pre-medical university study before applying to a four year Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program. This course of study includes conventional medical training, naturopathic principles and therapies and 1500 hours of supervised clinical experience. Currently, the four recognized colleges in North America are: The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, The Southwest College of Naturopathy in Scottsdale AZ, the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in Portland OR, and Bastyr University in Seattle WA. Graduates from these programs must pass standardized board examinations to be eligible for licensing in a regulated province or state. In Canada, naturopathic medicine is regulated in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia. In Ontario, Naturopathy is not paid for by OHIP but many workplace benefit health insurance plans do reimburse a portion of care.

Dr. Prange Welcomes You

as a patient and appreciates the opportunity to provide you with medical health care from a naturopathic approach. Naturopathic medicine provides a safe, natural alternative to conventional medicine. With the use of Natural Therapeutics, Nutrtional and Lifestyle Counseling, Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine, Botanical Medicine, and Homeopathy, most acute and chronic illnesses can be addressed. Dr Prange believes that in most cases the body has an inner ability to heal itself. When obstacles to healing are removed and therapies are given to stimulate the body's vital healing force, true health and wellness can be acheived.

Therapies
Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Uses the ancient oriental system of meridians in the body to assess and treat from an eastern perspective. Therapeutic interventions can be in the form of dietary changes, herbs, or acupuncture. Botanical Medicine Herbs in the form of tinctures, freeze dried capsules, and extracts are prescribed in many of Dr. Prange's treatement programs for specific and general complaints. Homeopathy A 200 year old system of medicine that stimulates the vital source so that the body can heal itself. Dilute amounts of plant, animal, or mineral substances are used to stimulate the body's healing reactions. These can be used singly, usually in the form of sublingual pellets or in a complex formulation, usually in a liquid format. Nutritional Counseling An optimal health maintenance diet will be prescribed. Blood lab testing may be used to determine what deficiencies need to be addressed, what food allergies you may have, and what foods facilitate or hinder your specific metabolism. Nutritional Supplementation Professional vitamins, minerals, and glandulars supplement the dietary changes that are recommended. Detoxification Programs including fasting combined with cleansing supplementations may be prescribed to flush away toxins from your body. Lifestyle Counseling Many conditions are aggravated by lifestyle factors and stress. Dr Margaret may recommend simple lifestyle changes and provide cognitive-emotional support to coach you on your way to wellness.

Specialty Therapies
Intravenous Therapies Dr. Margaret is part of a very small number of naturopathic doctors that specialize in IV Therapy. This apporach involves the direct administration of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and homeopathics directly into a vein. By avoiding the digestive tract, this allows for the precise dosage needed to reach the cells. This is of particular importance with the chronically ill who have impaired digestive functioning or those that require dosages that are too high to be administered orally. These Therapies may include: Meyer's Cocktail, High Dosage Vitamin C, and Glutathione and more. Metabolic Weight Loss Dr Margaret specializes in an advanced apporach to weigh loss imported from Germany. Through lab testing of your blood, Dr Margaret is able to determine what foods are helping boost your metabolism and what foods are slowing your metabolism causing you to gain weight. Added in 2008, this approach has been enormously sucessful and does not require additional supplementation or shakes beyond normal everyday food. Facial Rejuvenation/Cosmetic Accupuncture Dr Margaret is one of a few naturopaths to specialize in cosmetic accupuncture. Gentle acupuncture needles are used to relax facial muscles that are causing your wrinkles. Natural Pediatrics and Fertility Dr Prange offers alternatives to the numerous antibiotics and pharmaceuticals prescribed to children. Dr Margaret spcializes in pre and post natal women's health.
