5.1. During the Soviet period, the separate letter g was not used, and h served for both [] and [], the latter occurring only in onomatopoeia and loanwords. With national independence, g has been reintroduced. 5.2. Aer C. 5.3. Palatalization of consonants and [j] are indicated as follows: Plain Palatalized
