Connecting your laptop Connect your laptop to the management port using the supplied cable (RJ-45 to DB-9) Hyperterm (or other program) settings: COM port at 9600 bps, 8-none-1. Terminal emulation is VT100.

Login into the PP2430 Press until the LOGIN: prompt appears. Type Manager Wait for the prompt [1:TN] $ Type bcc Wait for the bcc> prompt Type config Wait for the box# prompt.

Initial Setup data Enter the SiteName (PCUSN name) for the terminal and telnet connection
