ASUS takes its name from Pegasus, the winged horse in Greek mythology that symbolises wisdom and knowledge. ASUS embodies the strength, purity, and adventurous spirit of this fantastic creature, and soars to new heights with each new product it creates. ASUS has long been at the forefront of this growth and while the company started life as a humble motherboard manufacturer with just a handful of employees, it is now the leading technology company in Taiwan with over 12,500 employees worldwide. ASUS makes products in almost every area of Information Technology too, including PC components, peripherals, notebooks, tablets, servers and smartphones. 1. Customer Segments ASUS divide their customer into various segment like families, businessmans, designers and gamers. With various products type, allowing ASUS to target their customer directly based on their preferences and requirements. 2. Value Propositions ASUS provide many various type of computer appliances based on various customer needs. Built with powerful parts and made on purpose for long product lifetime. 3. Channels ASUS has website, field store and service center in order to reach their customers. Field Sales approach customer by improving direct sales force, agencies, and resellers. Beside that, Online Shops and Retailers also help ASUS to reach their customers. 4. Customer Relationships ASUS build strong communities of their users that allow them to exchange knowledge and solve each other problems. ASUS also allow their customer to writing review, discussion, and consulting on blogs. 5. Revenue Streams PC, gadgets, and peripherals are ASUS main source of revenue. But, patent licensing of ASUS technology by other companies also make contribution to the income. 6. Key Resources Key resources show us the main resources that become the most important asset to make the whole business model works. Supported by many experienced design teams and engineers make a strong platform for ASUS to do continous improvement.

Key activities of ASUS are everything from designing the products, realize it in manufacturing process for mass production, then distribute it to consumer with help of marketing activities. 8. Key Partners Component suppliers is the vital partners for ASUS that satisfy the material needs for designing and manufacturing process. Distributors, included many well-known resellers, help ASUS products to get into the market. 9. Cost Structure Cost structure shows us all the cost elements in order to running a business. ASUSs cost elements are Manufacturing cost, Product Development cost, Marketing and Sales cost, and General and Administrative cost. Manufacturing cost is the cost to manufacture ASUS product, Product Development cost is the cost to make ASUS always up to date to meet the customer needs and have continuous improvements. Marketing and Sales cost is the cost to make the market aware and want to buy the product and General and Administrative cost is the cost for paying the staff, for maintaining the office, and for doing the administrative things.
