WRITING THE SELECTION REPORT

INTRODUCTION
Writing the selection report really makes you focus on justifying your most preferred applicant. The selection report does this by making you clearly document the merits that one applicant holds over another in relation to the selection criteria. Selection panel reports are mandatory in TAFE selection practices. THE REPORT
The selection report ill only be as good as the selection process that it reflects# therefore! it is important that the selection process is of high $uality. It also indicates that the selection panel has focused on the merits of each applicant in relation to the selection criteria. These merits are revealed in the applications! trade%skills test! performance at intervie ! referee&s reports and any other assessment tasks used in the selection process.
