Not included To installing FreePDF XP GhostScript 7.xx or 8.xx must be installed. More information about GhostScript you get on www.ghostscript.org. To view PDF Files, you need a Reader - for example Adobe Acrobat Reader. Please download it at www.adobe.de. Working with FreePDF XP

Making PDF Files FreePDF XP knows three Ways to crate PDF Files: 1.File, Print in any Windows Application 2. Double click a .ps file 3. In Quicksilver: Publishing Document 1. File, Print in any Windows Application Printing on FreePDF XP will open a Window, where you can Choose a destination for the PDF File. If you Choose Add to next, the print job will be added before the next print job in the same PDF file. 2. Double click a PostScript File On Double click a .ps or .prn File FreePDF will be opened. You can choose a Profile an start the Conversion. A PostScript File can be produced in some applications or by using any PostScript printer driver and print it to a file. GDI or PCL Printers are not PostScript Printers. Usually a PostScript Printer has the name extension PS. 3. Quicksilver: Publish
In place of Adobe Distiller (acrodist.exe) you can enter freepdf.exe in the Preferences of Quicksilver. PDF files can be published like you do with Distiller.

Options FreePDF can be configured by opening Edit, Options:

With Identification you can set the username, that will be stored in each PDF file. With Common Options you can set the FreePDF XP Language and activate a Debug-Mode With Paths the GhostScript version can be changed With FreePDF Assistant and FreePDF main application you can disable some FreePDF features. With Profiles you can create and delete PDF Settings.
