WE WELCOME
REV. MARCIN SZCZYPULA
My name is Fr. Marcin Szczypula and I am so happy to be assigned by Cardinal Francis George as a associate pastor to St. Albert the Great. I was born in Rabka Zdroj, a small town in Southern Poland. I graduated from Minor Seminary in Czestochowa, then studied for three years in Archdiocesan Seminary in Krakow. I came to the United States 10 years ago, spent one year in Bishop Abramowicz Seminary in Chicago and then I studied theology in Mundelein Seminary. I was ordained to be a priest for the Archdiocese of Chicago on May 17, 2008. My first assignment was SS. Cyril & Methodius in Lemont. Next, I was a associate pastor in St. Priscilla in Chicago. I assure you about my prayers and I ask you to pray for me! Fr. Marcin Szczypula
OUR NEW ASSOCIATE PASTOR:

The St. Vincent De Paul Society members are requesting St. Albert parishioners to extend their benevolent contributions in the form of nonperishable food donations, in order to assist residents who are experiencing significant financial difficulties during this period of their lives. Food items can be placed in the wooden receptacle boxes in the vestibule of the church or monetary contributions can be placed in the Poor Box. Your support in assisting those in need throughout the year is valued.
Come, you blessed of my Father, says the Lord. Amen, I say to you: Whatever you did for one of the least of my brethren, you did it for me. (Matthew 25:34,40)

Next weeks Collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) needs your help. CCHD was founded to end the cycle of poverty throughout America by funding
organizations that help individuals help themselves. With a tradition of improving education, housing, and community economic development, CCHD continues to make a positive impact in communities nationwide. Defend human dignity. Take poverty off the map. Please give to the CCHD Collection. Holy Rosary Credit Union is taking poverty off

the map in the heart of the country in Kansas City, Missouri. Started in 1943 by Italian immigrants, the not-for-profit credit union extends development and financial education services geared toward the low-income population of Kansas City. With help from the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD) Collection, the credit union encourages thrift, savings, and the wise use of credit for individuals and small businesses. Holy Rosary abides by Catholic social principles to serve seven parishes and bases its outreach on Christs example of love for the poor.In the Archdiocese of Seattle and the Diocese of Spokane and Yakima, Intercommunity Peace and Justice Center works with help from 16 religious communities and local Womens Justice Circles. One program, Justice for Women, organizes women living in poverty to change the conditions that keep them poor by bringing them together with low-income, yet economically stable women from local faith communities to work for change. With low-income women in the lead, the Circles identify the conditions that need changing and strengthen the women spiritually. Through research campaigns and recruitment, they take concrete steps to create change on issues affecting their communities. The Catholic Campaign for Human Development funds programs in communities across the United States where people living in poverty join together to identify problems, make decisions, and find ways to improve their lives and neighborhoods. Your support helps to end poverty one community at a time and to spread Christs love by helping to break the cycle of poverty in your community and across the country. Defend human dignity. Take poverty off the map. Support the Catholic Campaign for Human Development.
