October 7, 2013 Daily Schedule and Goals

Week 7

8:30-8:55Arrival (unpack things),Milk Count, Good Morning Song, Bathroom Break I will help Kendall gain independence by only giving brief reminders and redirection to pick her milk or hang up her backpack. 8:55-9:10 Circle Time (calendar, weather, day of the week, super stars of the week, story) I will make sure I have all eyes looking before beginning any of the circle time components to ensure they are following along and tracking with their eyes, as these are one of the expectation we try to remind them of during circle time. 9:10-10:15 Centers (camping centers) I will engage with the children when creating forest animal puppets at the art center. I will do this be prompting questions about our camping unit to extend their thinking while crafting. 10:15-10:30 Snack, bathroom break, prepare to go home I will sit with Logan P and talk about what he has for snack because he has something different for snack because of his allergies. This will help him to work on socialization and conversational skills with others, as he is often quiet during snack. 10:30-11: Outdoor Play/ Pick Up I will encourage Rory to try more difficult tasks by holding her hand when she walks on the beam. This will help her work on using her weaker and not as dominate leg to make it stronger.

8:30-8:55Arrival (unpack things),Milk Count, Good Morning Song, Bathroom Break I will have all the children count the milks with me and then ask different questions such as which has least to promote the children to think about mathematical organization in a real life context. 8:55-9:10 Circle Time (calendar, weather, day of the week, super stars of the week, story) I will call on different students that do not always raise their hand to give them a chance to share or answer. I will evaluate their responses as a check for understanding of the day, month, an day of the week. 9:10-10:15 Centers (camping centers) I will play campsite with the children and focus on materials that we must remember to pack when camping such as the fire sticks, sleeping bag, and backpack. I will observe how children represent their knowledge when they begin packing. 10:15-10:30 Snack, bathroom break, prepare to go home I will remind Kyle that we do not play in the hand dryer (electric instead of paper towels) because he often messes around in the bathroom. I will show him how we wash hands, quickly rub them together to dry, and get out of the bathroom. I will observe how he takes my reminders into consideration when he goes to the bathroom and washes his hands. 10:30-11: Outdoor Play/Pick Up I will model to the children how we can collect items outside for our science sensory table. I will collect a variety of object to examine.

October 9, 2013 Daily Schedule and Goals

Week 8

8:30-8:55Arrival (unpack things),Milk Count, Good Morning Song, Bathroom Break I will model cheery singing and use hand gestures to teach them about coordinating dance moves and lyrics into a song. 8:55-9:10 Circle Time (calendar, weather, day of the week, super stars of the week, story) I will give an earlier warming for clean-up time and transition to better prepare the students for getting ready to clean up and put their own things away in an allotted time. 9:10-10:15 Centers (camping centers) I will look for different students names at each center to make sure the students understand to take their crayon with them when switching centers. I will go around and remind the students to grab their name tag if they leave a center for a different center without taking their name crayon with. 10:15-10:30 Snack, bathroom break, prepare to go home I will model our good words to help the children better understand manners and polite words. I will use correct terms and use words such as can I have more snack please when I hear them ask the incorrect way. I will also say thank you to the child that brought snack for the day. 10:30-11: Outdoor Play/Pickup I will make connections with parents about different topics. Talking to the parents will create open communication and help to build a relationship.

October 10, 2013 Daily Schedule and Goals

8:30-8:55Arrival (unpack things),Milk Count, Good Morning Song, Bathroom Break -I will remind the students of the expectations in the hallway by modeling appropriate behavior such as walking feet and a level 1 voice. 8:55-9:10 Circle Time (calendar, weather, day of the week, super stars of the week, story) -I will read The Camping Trip focusing on reading slower and pausing for questions and responses. 9:10-10:15 Library Time -I will encourage participation by interacting with the librarians through singing the finger play songs, dancing to the music, and prompting responses to her storybook questions. 10:15-11:00 Outdoor Play/ Pick Up -I will ensure Kyle is playing safely by reminding him to use kind hands when playing with others.
