O n A levels? mention subjects learnt, method used in school, how were the teachers? difficulties? opportunities? sports, extra-curricular activities? ) Board: Indian Board-Tamil Nadu State Board Subjects: All subjects that comes under the Tamil State Nadu Board Method: Understanding the concepts and presenting it in the exams Student -Teachers: Cordial, supportive and family environment Difficulties: Concepts understanding and presenting approach was not helpful as TN State board expected syllabus based presentation which made me not score much in the State board exams. Opportunities: It provided all kinds of opportunities to develop ones career and skills like sports, education, extra curricular activities, vocational activities such as tailoring, carpentry, painting, typing and gardening. 3. How was the transition from the outreach school to college outside? (list and describe the ups and downs as well) Ups: It helped a lot to understand the concepts and perform well at exams and make curriculum presentations and make achievements in my career. It also helped me to gain additional skills through the vocational courses offered by them

Downs: I have only 1 point say that the education system that was followed over there made me to not score much marks in my 10th state board exam 6. What do you do now? (in Av or outside? how many months/years since u graduated from outreach high school or since graduation? Was it easy or difficult to get a job?) At present I am working in Rangoli a unit at Auroville since June2012 after my post graduation. I felt easy to get a job related my qualification 7. In hindsight, what do you treasure most abt your education in Av outreach school? (Something which you are grateful for, or has had a deep impact in your formative years to make you who you are today...) I am much grateful to my school because that only help me all the way through my career and education to sustain well and make achievements. I feel that the system of education i.e Concepts understanding and presenting approach is gift to me which is still helpful for me and will be all through my life. 8. Anything else you would like to share?(r u aurovilian, or anything that comes to your mind with regards to education here) No, I am not an Aurovillian but reside here. I like the education system adopted in the schools at Auroville but it doesnt suit to Indian education system as still is traditional and faces the technological and systematic updation challenges.
