1. Introduction
The word bank was derived from bankwee of French and Bance of Italian language whose literal
meaning is Bench. In ancient period peoples used to monetary transactions standing on the bench.The
evolution and development of banking system has its long history. As per chanakya economics
during 2000 B.C. there was powerful group of business bankers in Babilonia which used to collect,
deposit provide loan and issue drafts. In 1157 AD Bank of vanis was estabilished as first bank after
that in 1407 AD Bank of Barcelona was estabilished in Barcelona of Spain. In the same Bank of
Geneva on 1407 B.S. Bank of Armjaradan in 1607 B.S. in Holland. Bank of humburg in 1619 AD
in Germany.

1.1 Background of the study
To in this busy business world for quick and productive work performance people and organization are
operating different projects. In the same way banking sector is also playing vital role in project
development. They are engaged on providing high quality customer service by the application of
modern information and communication technology. Though reporters has specific concentration on
study of sources of deposit colletion and investment of loan on different sectors by the bank.

1.2 Introduction about Sunrise Bank
Sunrise Bank was established in june 1994 with an authorized capital of Rs.240 million paid up capital
of sunrise situated at Gairidhara Naxal, Kathmandu. The prime objectives of this Bank are to render
banking revises to the different sectors small entreprineurs and weaker section of the society and who
need Banking services. During the period of 16 years of its operation ,had accon number of alients and
has been able to provide excellent services to its clients.

With a network of 52 branches and a corporate office, the bank commands the largest network joint
venture commercial banks in Nepal. The bank has introduced its first ATM facility at Kathmandu
plaza putali sadak Branch to go days banking services to their valued customers. Top exporters and
importers of the coutry have established banking relationship with substantial volume of foreign
business which has enhanced the banks popularity in the front. Bank has developed agency and
correspondent relationship with more than 200 foreign banks in the world.

With the continuous support of our valued customers the bank has made all round progress of its
operation.


1.3 Objective of the study
We cannot reach to any destination with out any goal. General objective of this report is to study about
financial feasibility of far western development region. So NB Bank being financial representive of
this region reporter has used. This bank as source of study. During this study on Deposit collection
and loan criterion of Sunrise Bank reporter has determined following objectives.

To know about the possibility of investment in F.W. region .
To know about the sum of deposit collected by bank in different fiscal year.
To know about the loan of different sectors.
To know about the risk involved in marketing process.

1.4 Rationality of the study
The importance or benefits of the study of report is as below:
It can be used in library.
This study also helps to other researcher and upcoming students to prepare their project work
report.
Teachers and students also may obtain a lot of information regarding the profitability and
capital structure of the bank.

2.1 Nature of Data
During research activity it is necessary to collect required data. Here while researching on deposit
collection and loan criterion of Sunrise Bank researcher has used following methods of data collection.

1. Primary data collection method
2. Secondary data collection method

Primary- Primary data means the data obtained by the researcher himself visiting the field personally it
contains originally following methods were used while collecting primary data.
a) Direct personal observation and interview: The researcher personally visits the office of
Sunrise Bank for survival days to get information about the job satisfaction working
style, working environment, co-ordinator and co-operation among the employees
information was obtained direct contact and enquiry with employees.
b) Questionaire method: Due to the insufficiency of historical record of organization as
everything was not published report cant be prepared properly. So questionnaire was
used to collect raw data related to the organizations rule want equations.

Secondary Data- Those data which are already collected by other are secondary data. As it is not
possible to every on to collect the data himself, he can use secondary data to prepare report. All the
necessary and revelant secondary data were collected from magzines, newspapers, banks , annual
reports, records, articles etc. Those data provides information about the services, facilities, training
vacant post, recruitment process leave pay etc.

3.1 In this research based report data presentation and its analysis is highly focused. Data are
presented in simple and easily understoodable way as per the objective of report writing

presented datas are further converted into tables and bar diagrams so that less educated peoples
can also easily understand it. Beside these the source and other related information about the
data are also clearified.
3.1 Deposit position- During research reporter has studied on deposit from peoples on different

In the above table it was found that bank is collecting on different 7 headings. The continiuous
increment in the amount of deposit shows the successful goodwill and trust among peoples of the
bank.



In the above diagram we can see the continuous and successive growth rate on deposit of Sunrise
Bank. In fiscal year 2068-2069 highest amount of deposit seems to be collected in saving deposit. Risk
is involved in this process. There may be a big bad debtor competition in market. In this way reporter
came to the conclusion that he deposit collection of this bank is highly satisfactory.

To get detail knowledge about anything by finding its drawback and their solution is research. So by
its nature research has made attempt to make research on deposit collection and loan criterion of
sunrise bank.

Today in this 21st century peoples are engaged in operating business and profession to fulfill their
needs, wants and desires. In which capital is playing role of engine oil without which no business can
be performed. So to facilitate this capital banks and financial institutions are playing role of mediator.
The bank was established on 2065 kartik 25 as a first private sector development bank in far and
Midwestern region of Nepal. Though this bank is working since its establishment.

4.2 Conclusion
Reporter has derived following conclusion after researching.
Bank has proved itself as a village oriented rather than city oriented.
Their is highly deposited amount in this bank.
It was seen that saving and fixed accounts were mostly in use by the peoples.
Daily transaction of the bank were found to have been operated in computherized system.

4.3 Recommendation
It is normal to face simple types of problems during the source of study and research.
During study of financial institution and Mgmt it was seen that bank has spent very less
amount on training to its staffs seems to remain constant and uncompetitive. So it is necessary
for the bank to provide time to time training to its staffs.
It is necessary for bank to advertise its services from media among peoples.
