On Nov. 8, ESPN SportsCenter broadcasted its Salute to Veterans show live from the Naval Academy Yard in honor of Veterans Day. Anchors Hannah Storm and Kevin Negandhi interviewed academy officials and midshipmen and presented video features showcasing some of the amazing students we have here in Annapolis. If you missed it, many of these videos are available through the links in this weeks edition of eTrident, including a video produced by the mids giving their perspective on an amazing day. The annual Parent-Child Thanksgiving lunch will be held at the Child Development Center Nov. 21 at 11:30 a.m. This is only for parents of children enrolled at the center. The lunch is free however parents need to RSVP if they plan to attend to ensure the proper amount of food is prepared. Call 410-293-9290 for a reservation.

The Billy the Kid Youth Center is offering a Month of the Military Family field trip Nov. 22 to the Westfield Mall to enjoy dinner and the new Hunger Games movie. The trip is open to ages 11-17. It is free but limited to the first 15 who sign up. The trip departs the Youth Center on Alder Road at 4:30 p.m. To sign up, call 410-293-4998/9396. Signed parental permission slip is required.
