The optimal treatment plan for John Smiths recovery would be visit s twice a week for four weeks of sixty minute sessions, including reassessment. When signs of improvement arise, Mr. Smiths treatments will decrease to once a week, for forty-five minute sessions for three weeks. ANALYSIS When John Smith arrived for his first assessment, he mentioned being an avid tennis player; playing up to five times a week. Mr. Smiths first sign of reported pain was noticed three weeks ago. After retrieving a full report of pain assessment, all signs pointed to lateral epicondylitis, otherwise known as tennis elbow. Though a postural assessment was performed, results were inconclusive. All posture was relatively unremarkable. Range of motion, on the affected side, was quite diminished in the active movement of the joint below the elbow. Wrist extension was moderately painful to perform, elbow extension as well. Shoulder range of motion was unaffected by the injury. A Special Orthopedic Test was then performed on the patient to confirm the MT Diagnosis. The test is called Cozens Test and it entailed stabilizing the patients elbow with my thumb while palpating the lateral epicondyle. The patient was then asked to actively make a

fist, pronate his forearm as well as radially deviate and extend the wrist against the force that is being applied against the action. Pain near the lateral epicondyle was felt by the patient, which is a positive result of lateral epicondylitis. Massage Therapy will aid Mr. Smith in alleviating the pain he feels, and will also help repair the tissues that have been injured/damaged tissue in the lateral aspect of his affected arm. Home-care and gradual therapeutic exercise will be a process in which Mr. Smith will find great relief and rehabilitation of my patients arm. CONCLUSION In conclusion, my patients musculoskeletal health with thrive off the impending treatment. It is advised that Mr. Smith receives Massage Therapy as soon as possible, for his injury may worsen with time and aggravation. Massage Therapy has proven to be a highly effective treatment for this particular type of case in the past, and Mr. Smith himself has been showing signs of improvement in the duration of his treatment. Therefore, continued treatment is highly recommended.
