5. PAYMENT TO CONSULTANT !he cons0ltant will be paid at the rate of 5&A!E PE& )(U&6 for wor= perfor1ed in accordance with this agree1ent. )owever+ the cons0ltant will be paid at least 5A.(U$!6 per 1onth regardless of the a1o0nt of ti1e spent in accordance with this agree1ent. !he cons0ltant will s0b1it an ite1i7ed state1ent setting forth the ti1e spent and services rendered+ and the co1pany will pay the cons0ltant the a1o0nts d0e as indicated by state1ents s0b1itted by the cons0ltant within 5$U.*E&6 days of receipt. 6. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR *oth the co1pany and the cons0ltant agree that the cons0ltant will act as an independent contractor in the perfor1ance of its d0ties 0nder this contract.
