Our Purpose...
To reach people with the love of Jesus Christ, provide a safe and supportive environment, proclaim the standards of Gods truth, duplicate the Christian life in others, and celebrate the majesty and works of Our Great God.
Sunday Worship
We are currently in great need of gift items to fill the baby baskets that welcome new little ones into our church family. Lotions, bath soap, bath items, teething rings, snack to-go cups, small toys, and sparkling cider are just a few of the things we need to fill these baskets. There is also a current need for soft, fleecy blankets in purple, blue or pink. If you are interested in helping with this need or have questions about other items that could be used to fill these baskets, please contact our church office at 503-588-0403. Thank you for making our families with new little ones feel loved.

FOOD CLOSET MINISTRY Thank you for your generous giving to our food closet! The shelves are well stocked again so that we can provide food for those families in need of this outreach. As the holidays approach, we always have requests for the specialty holiday baking/food items common to Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. The bulletin insert provides details on needed items. You will be able to drop your items off at a labeled table in the West Hall entrance, near the church office.
Giving Update
THE MINISTRY OF SALEM HEIGHTS CHURCH
The ministry of Salem Heights Church is funded entirely by the generous giving of Gods people. You will notice that we do not pass the offering plate; however, there are offering boxes in the back of the auditorium. We have done this so no one gives out of compulsion. We believe from the Word of God that the Spirit of God will lead people towards giving back to God of their first fruits. ...God loves a cheerful giver (2 Cor. 9:7) and we know He blesses those who take His Word seriously in every regard. Thank you for prayerfully supporting Salem Heights financially as we desire to reach the lost and disciple the Saints. (Prayerfully consider what the Lord would have you do.)

Introduction
When we approach this passage in Titus we are reminded of the awesome saving work of God. Paul begins this portion of Scripture by reminding us of the amazing Grace of God. Grace is described by Scripture as Gods unmerited favor toward unworthy people. But the grace of God is more than a divine expression or attribute; Grace is found in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus was God incarnate and Grace incarnate. Jesus was the physical expression of Gods unmerited favor that brought salvation to all men. Bringing salvation to all men is a huge truth, gift, and expression of love. But we must be aware that the salvation that has been brought to man doesnt stop at the point of salvation. It changes us and it changes our potential. So how does it change us?

Scarf CollectionSharing the Love of Christ A group of women from SHC will be serving dinner and providing a chapel service at Simonka Place (UGM Womens and Childrens Shelter) on December 6th. They will be sharing from Psalm 139 about Gods loving handiwork in creating each person special. Each lady will then receive a handmade scarf as a reminder of how God purposed to create her and purposed her for a loving relationship with Him. Please consider participating in this outreach with us by helping us to gather the scarves that are needed. With 82 beds at Simonka Place, we would like to have 82 scarves available that evening. Heres what you can do!
You can make one or more scarves. If you need yarn, we have received yarn donations and there is now yarn available in the womens ministry closet. You can purchase a scarf, perhaps at one of the many upcoming seasonal craft bazaars going on in the area. You can join us in prayer as we ask the Lord to provide and to give wisdom in communicating the message to the ladies at Simonka Place. Your scarf or yarn donations can be dropped off at the church office. We would like all scarves to be dropped off by December 4th.
