ELE Triaxial Cells are designed to meet the requirements of the modern soils laboratory.Three quick release tie rods are used to attach the cylinder and head assembly to the base.The high quality finish between the piston and the head, the use of an O-ring seal, and special lubricant reduce friction levels and eliminate water leakage. Each cell has five base ports; two for top drainage/backpressure, two for bottom drainage/pore pressure, and one for confining pressure.Two no-volume change valves and an anvil for strain indicator/transducers are supplied as standard.

The Tri-Flex 2 Triaxial Cell incorporates many features that promote ease in specimen preparation and installation.The cell consists of an aluminum alloy head assembly with a piston assembly that features the use of linear bearings for virtually, friction-free movement. Straightforward in design, the Tri-Flex 2 Master Control Panel meets the demands for an accurate, yet simple-to-operate panel system for use in triaxial and permeability testing.The panel is easy to operate, with a limited number of controls and an easy-to-read digital pressure display system. Fast, easy connection and removal of additional system components allow quick system setup. The operator has complete control of system pressure and flow measurements during specimen testing, with three independently-controlled pressure regulators one for confining or cell pressure; one for lower or pore/head pressure; and one for upper or back/tail pressure.The bridging feature lets the operator quickly set the pressures of multiple burette systems with just one regulator. Each burette/annulus assembly has a selector which opens or closes the access to the annulus.When opened, up to 400 ml of water is available to the operator for specimen saturation and other test stages without refilling the burette assembly. By a simple flip of a switch to activate the digital pressure display system, any of the regulated pressures can be displayed in digital form to an accuracy of 0.25% of reading within range. Tri-Flex 2 Auxiliary Control Panel

Increases testing capacity of the system without duplicating the major control functions and pressure displays of the Master Control Panel. Provides six independent control pressure regulators for complete flexibility while testing multiple samples. Simple flip switch displays pressure setting for each regulator on the Master Control Panel digital Pressure Meter display. Bridging feature allows user to set pressure on two to six burette channels using one regulator.
For greater productivity in the laboratory,Tri-Flex 2 Auxiliary Control Panels are designed to increase the Tri-Flex 2 Systems testing capacity without duplicating the major control functions and pressure displays of the Master Control Panel.The panels work with the Master Control Panel to provide the overall system with the capacity to test from three to five specimens at one time each with its own independent pressure settings. Easy to install and operate, the Auxiliary Control Panel is quickly hooked up to the Master Control Panel by using the quick connections on the panel back. Quick disconnects on the front panel board assure fast connection or removal of the test cell. Like the Master Control Panel, the Auxiliary Control Panel has a bridging feature and the burette/annulus system allows easy saturation of the test specimen without refilling the burettes with water.

The accurate monitoring and measurement of pore water pressures within a test specimen are necessary during effective stress triaxial tests, or for determining the level of saturation (B parameter) during the saturation stages of triaxial and permeability testing. The Digital Pressure Gauge has been specifically designed to meet these accurate measurement requirements. The readout features a bright LCD display that updates twice every second. Each system is supplied complete with a highly stable pressure gauge with de-airing block assembly for fast connection to any ELE/Soiltest triaxial or permeability test cell.

Accurate monitoring and recording of load and axial displacement of the specimen are easily accomplished by means of the Digital Load and Displacement Readout. Available in either English or Metric models, the series features a two channel digital readout unit with bright 4-digit LED display that updates three times every second. Each system is supplied complete with a 2,000 lb. (8.9 kN) capacity S-type load cell, 2" (50 mm) range axial strain transducer and mounting hardware for use on the Tritest 50 series load frame.
