Sensex up by 1.02%@20399.42pts,Nifty down by 1.11%@6056.15pts resp. European indices FTSE, DAX & CAC were up by 0.48% to 0.72% resp. NASDAQ was up by 1.16%, Dow Jones Ind. Avg. was up by 0.45% resp. Sensex up by 205.02 pts @ 20399.42pts & Nifty up by 66.55pts @ 6056.15 pts . The BSE Sensex rose 1 percent on Thursday, snapping a seven-session losing streak as lenders rallied after the Reserve Bank of India governor announced bond purchases, easing some concerns about losses in the sector tied to their heavy debt holdings.
