The name is commonl( sed when creating a > er( to the database. The database so rce name ?$S:@ does not have to be the same as the !ilename !or the database. This implementation wor2s with a middle-tier transaction manager and almost alwa(s with a connection pooling manager. # $ata So rce ob=ect has properties that can be modi!ied when necessar(. 3or e'ample, i! the data so rce is moved to a di!!erent server, the propert( !or the server can be changed. The bene!it is that beca se the data so rceDs properties can be changed, an( code accessing that data so rce does not need to be changed.
