HIGHER EDUCATION ACHIEVEMENTS & INVOLVEMENT Major Accomplishments Founder of the Student-Alumni Mentorship Program within the College of Nursing at Seattle University Awarded Staff Person of the year by supervisor and colleagues for AY 2011-2012 Skills/ Training Workshop facilitator on multicultural competencies for undergraduate students serving k-12 tutor volunteers Experience and knowledge of university wide IT systems: Banner, StarRez, Datatel, SUDDS, Campusview, Angel, Sedona & Blackboard, Razors Edge Completion of Better Business Writing Workshop with Syntax Training Corporation Participation in the Project Management 1 Day Workshop at Seattle University which focused on effective ways of managing tasks and on-time projects Attended a 3 day workshop to master Microsoft systems including Excel, Word, Publisher and PowerPoint Program Assessment Certified through Seattle University Memberships & Other Roles Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) o Awarded grant to attend Spring 2012 Womens Leadership Conference & 2013 Mental Health Conference NASPA Region V, Veterans Knowledge Community Representative (March 2013- Present) o Manage Veteran Knowledge Community, KC, communications with NASPA members o Act as point person between universities and members of the Veteran KC o Host webinars and offer other resources to those in community o Attend NASPA Region V board meeting/conferences EXPERIENCE Administrative Coordinator October 2011- Present Seattle University, College of Nursing (CON) Seattle, Washington Prepare, plan and host 2 Keynote Speaker Series (2012 & 2013) with over 150 attendees Schedule and organize all meetings for the entire college using Microsoft Outlook while training faculty to use Outlook Work closely with Marketing Manager on quarterly newsletter, hosting events and other media related efforts Serve as co-chair on College of Nursing Search Committee; create marketing ads while posting within numerous journals and websites; schedule interviews and complete hiring process with candidates Lead organizer in college events; work closely with Event Services to plan and prepare for all events; scheduler of 5-8 large events per quarter with approximately 100-200 attendees Work closely with Human Resources as the organizer of the yearly Annual Review process for faculty & staff Coordinate and compile data from multiple sources to complete surveys, accreditation and mandated reports Member of the CON Executive Team which meets weekly to discuss issues within the college Supervise 3-5 work study students per week; delegate tasks and manage tasks given from other staff and faculty Work closely with Advancement Officer on organizing meetings with donors Analyze benchmark data to compare SU to other local and Jesuit schools Support Dean with budgeting college expenses and spending, while working closely with budget manager Collaborate with all departments within the university to ensure the College is abiding by university policy, ie) faculty services to ensure transcripts have been submitted/ ensuring all faculty have immunizations and licensure up to date Prepare materials, schedule logistics, contact participants, and follow-up task actions for meetings and projects that involve the Dean or as directed by the Dean Draft all letters on behalf of the Dean including announcements, grants, letters to stakeholders, letters of appointment
