May it be your will, Eternal One, Beloved of our ancestors, to lead us in peace and direct our steps in peace;

to guide us in peace, to support us in peace and to bring us to our destination in life, joy and peace. (One who intends to return immediately says: and return in peace.) Deliver us from the hands of every enemy and lurking foe, and robbers and wild beasts on the journey, and from all kinds of calamities that may come to and afflict the world; and bestow blessing upon all our actions. Grant me grace, kindness and mercy in Your eyes and in the eyes of all who behold us, and bestow bountiful kindness upon us. Hear the voice of my prayer, for You hear everyones prayer. Dear God, may this machine that we have entrusted our lives to function properly. Thank you for the pilots that fly it and may they use their training well. Deliver us all safely to our destinations. In Christ's name, Amen. Dear Lord, bless the captain of this aircraft, his first officer and associates. Bless the flight attendants and all the passengers. Bring us all safely to our destinations. Bless the engines that they may work perfectly in every detail and produce maximum power. May they operate with full efficiency which their builders intended. Bless this plane in all it's structural, operational, functional and electrical parts and connections. Give us a perfect and powerful take-off. Bring us into smooth air under blue skies and speed us swiftly and powerfully to our destination. Give us the joy of flight and remind us always of the wonder of Your creation and the limitless space of the sky and the vast beauty of the earth. We place ourselves confidently in Your hands. We give You thanks for Your watchful care knowing that, even as You hold us in Your great hands on the ground, You also hold us here in the air. Thank You dear Lord for Your wonderful kindness and goodness. Amen. Lord, be with me as I prepare for travel. Calm my fears so that I can begin this trip rested in mind and body. Keep me alert for any dangerous situations I might encounter so that I might arrive at my destination unharmed and secure in the knowledge that, when my trip is over, you will always be there to guide me safely.
