Once again we begin to prepare for the season of celebration of the birth of our Savior! The Giving Tree will be in the Parlor today thru Sunday, December 15th. In addition to area foster children, we are pleased to add gift requests from one of our regular missions: The Deaf Institute in Cincinnati, Ohio. Please see the Bulletin Board for an update of the valuable work these deaf ministers and families offer to the deaf community. Questions? Please see Kathryn Albertson. Sharing because we have been blessed, what could be better?

A congregational meeting will be held Sunday, December 1, 2013 following each morning worship hour to elect officers and approve the budget for 2014.

THOUGHTS FROM BRAD

Tonight at our banquet, you are being asked to show appreciation for Hannahs ministry as well as make a donation to help defray the costs of our meal and entertainment. We will have two buckets clearly marked at the entrance of the fellowship hall. We want to encourage you to give the best you can for both these servants of the Lord. If you must write a check, make it out to Hannah Martin & Dave Mason. I want to encourage all our ladies to participate in the upcoming Christmas event at The Ville restaurant. Today is your last day to sign up and pay for this excellent fellowship opportunity. I want to thank all those who planned the parade event and who volunteered in one way or another either decorating the float or helping out yesterday. A special thanks to Tim & Marie Huffman for taking this project on. We appreciate everyones willingness to help us meet the community. I would also like to thank Mitch Shell and the Imagine group for sharing their black light show with us Saturday night. Great job! I hope you begin planning now to invite friends and family to FACC for our December 15th Angels and Antlers concert by 64 to Grayson. We had this group here once before and they did an outstanding job playing their bluegrass music. Im sure you will love this special presentation as they help prepare our minds for the Christmas celebration of the birth of our Lord. Next Sunday, you will have an opportunity to vote concerning our church leadership. I hope you will not simply make this about voting for someone you like. Read through the passages of scripture that pertain to Christian leaders. Examine the qualifications and ask yourself if these men meet the qualifications of Biblical leadership. Passages to read are: Titus 1:5-9, I Timothy 3:1-13. I ask that you pray each day this week as to whom God would have lead at FACC. In His Service, Brad Seevers

BITS FROM BRO. DAVE

SUNDAY EVENINGS IN THE SANCTUARY:

This week, November 24, we will be enjoying our annual All Church Thanksgiving Dinner. I encourage your participation! Next week, December 1, we will complete our current series of lessons on New Testament Characters with Reaching The Immoral One (Luke 7:36). On December 8, I plan to launch a new series titled Meet The Prophets. In these lessons, we will be examining some of the Old Testament prophets and their work.
WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDIES: Remember, we

are not meeting this week, November 27. The 10:00 am and 6:30 pm classes will resume on December 4. At that time we will continue our Brief Survey Of The Old Testament. Why not join us? Confidence is the feeling you sometimes have before you fully understand the situation.
FINAL THOUGHT:

Christmas Poinsettias
Orders for red or white Christmas poinsettias will be taken in the parlor today and next Sunday, December 1st. The cost is $6 each and must be paid for at the time of ordering.

Core Values...
Values central to the life, mission and vision of Fifth Avenue Church of Christ are: Christ-Centered Worship
We make it a priority every Sunday to celebrate Jesus through our music. (Romans 11:36-12:1-2). We focus on Jesus through gracebased preaching and teaching & understand the Bible is our authority (2 Timothy 3:16).

Church Health and Biblical Balance

Church health becomes reality when God's people seek harmony & live consistently. We expect every member to protect the unity of Christ's Church. (Romans 12:16; 1 Peter 3:8)

Global Evangelism
We are constant to our founding call to worldwide evangelism, proclaiming to all that Jesus Christ is the Savior, Healer, and SoonComing King (Acts 20:27).

Fellowship and Ministry

After people begin their journey with Jesus, we will equip them to find a ministry based upon their strengths. We want everyone to serve in some capacity. (1 Corinthians 12:12-27) We also want His church to be the living evidence of His love and power to the world.

Discipleship
We do not want you to "get religion" here at Fifth Avenue Church of Christ in Lancaster. We are all about teaching you that Jesus seeks a daily relationship with Him through a life of obedience. In other words, we want to see the things you are taught actually change your lifestyle & your daily decisions.

How Can I Respond Today?

At FACC we look to the Bible for guidance on all issues. We believe that Gods Word is clear concerning what a person must do to become a Christian. Trust that Jesus can bring you to salvation. Turn (repent) from the sin in your life. Confess your desire to make Jesus the Lord of your life. Be baptized (immersed) in water for the forgiveness of sins and to receive the Holy Spirit into your life. To make this life decision for Christ, we ask that you come forward during our commitment song at the conclusion of the Sunday message. Baptized believers are welcome to become members at FACC by coming forward on Sunday morning or by seeing our Senior Minister to discuss this further. We ask that you complete a series of Curious classes to help you better understand what you are committing to as a member.

Social Conscience
We place high value on the sanctity of human life, of Biblical marriage and morality, and we welcome ethnic diversity (Isaiah 56:7; Philippians 2:15-16).

OUR PURPOSE

WE EXIST TO
Exalt Gods Greatness; Evangelize Gods Work Equip Gods People Express Gods Love through Jesus Christ
