Barney Circle and Southeast Boulevard Transportation Planning Study Concepts Meeting

PUBLIC COMMENT SHEET


Please fill out this form and leave it at the registration table tonight. 1. Provide your comments on Southeast Boulevard Concept 1. Description: No Build. Southeast Freeway reopens and operates in the same way before the 11th Street Bridge Project. Barney Circle remains at current configuration. There would be no pedestrian connections between L Street SE and the waterfront. Would you want DDOT to continue to study Concept 1? Yes/No. If No, please explain why.

Provide your comments on Southeast Boulevard Concept 2. Description: Four-lane Southeast Boulevard is constructed on structure at the same level as L Street SE. A multi-modal parking facility is built underneath the roadway. Green space would be incorporated on top of the parking facility. A pedestrian signal would be built to cross Southeast Boulevard. A pedestrian bridge would be built to cross the railroad tracks to access the waterfront. Would you want DDOT to continue to study Concept 2? Yes/No. If No, please explain why.

Provide your comments on Southeast Boulevard Concept 3A. Description: Four-lane Southeast Boulevard is constructed at-grade below the level of L Street SE. The roadway would be aligned close to L Street SE. Surface parking and green space would be located between Southeast Boulevard and the railroad tracks. A pedestrian bridge would be built from L Street SE to cross Southeast Boulevard and the railroad tracks to access the waterfront. Would you want DDOT to continue to study Concept 3A? Yes/No. If No, please explain why.

Provide your comments on Southeast Boulevard Concept 3B. Description: Four-lane Southeast Boulevard is constructed on fill at the same level of L Street SE. The roadway would be aligned close to L Street SE. Surface parking and green space would be located between Southeast Boulevard and the railroad tracks. A pedestrian signal would be built to cross Southeast Boulevard. A pedestrian bridge would be built to cross the railroad tracks to access the waterfront. Would you want DDOT to continue to study Concept 3B? Yes/No. If No, please explain why.

Provide your comments on Southeast Boulevard Concept 4A. Description: Four-lane Southeast Boulevard is constructed at-grade below the level of L Street SE. The roadway would be aligned close to the railroad. Surface parking and green space would be located between Southeast Boulevard and L Street SE. Provide your comments on Southeast Boulevard Concept 4B. Description: Four-lane Southeast Boulevard is constructed on fill at the same level of L Street SE. The roadway would be aligned close to the railroad. Surface parking and green space would be located between Southeast Boulevard and L Street SE. A pedestrian signal would be built to cross Southeast Boulevard. A pedestrian bridge would be built to cross the railroad tracks to access the waterfront. Would you want DDOT to continue to study Concept 4B? Yes/No. If No, please explain why.

Provide your comments on Barney Circle Option 1. Description: Barney Circle re-constructed as a signalized traffic circle. Full access is provided at 17th Street SE, Kentucky Avenue SE, Pennsylvania Avenue SE, and Southeast Boulevard. K Street SE is oneway exiting the circle and can only be accessed from eastbound Pennsylvania Avenue SE. A pedestrian bridge would be built to connect the John Philip Sousa Bridge with the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail. Would you want DDOT to continue to study Option 1? Yes/No. If No, please explain why.

Provide your comments on Barney Circle Option 2. Description: Barney Circle re-constructed as a signalized traffic circle. Full access is provided at 17th Street SE, Pennsylvania Avenue SE, and Southeast Boulevard. K Street SE is one-way exiting the circle and can be accessed from all approaches. Kentucky Avenue is one-way entering the circle. H Street SE is converted to a two-way roadway. An all-way stop sign is installed at intersection of 17th Street SE and H Street SE. A pedestrian bridge would be built to connect the John Philip Sousa Bridge with the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail. Would you want DDOT to continue to study Option 2? Yes/No. If No, please explain why.
