1. Write a summary of 100 words about this article Ever since Edward Snowdens whistleblowing on the US, the US has been hunting him down. Snowden turned to Russia for help, and Russia did by granting him temporary asylum. Russias decision not only frustrated Obama, but also emboldened hawkish critics of the White House, who have long dubbed Obama s attempts to improve relations with Putin as nave and inappropriate. The article also suggests that with Snowden now being granted a temporary asylum, the focus should now be switched to the sweeping nature and unlawfulness of the US government s surveillance programs. Meanwhile in Russia, Snowden seemed to be welcome by the Russians. He was even invited to work as a programmer at VKontakte, Russias most popular social network.
