    Restorationworkonthe buildingisprogressing well,althoughafew weeksbehindschedule. Issuesthatcomeupare resolvedbytheconstruc tionteamonanongoing basisatregularsite meetings.

    Construction
    Thefollowingisabrief outlineofsomeofthe tasksundertakensofar. Roof&Tower:Allthe slatesandslatelaths wereremovedand 150mmofinsulation wasfitted.Thestone bargewasraisedto

    AMezzanineFloorhas beeninstalledtoaccom modateatrainingroom. Anewextensionwasbuilt toaccommodateaKitch enette,toiletsandasmall storagearea.

    Asthechurchisalisted buildingandaswewere subjecttoCLDC(Clare LocalDevelopmentCom pany)grantconditionsit wascriticalthatwehada verygoodprofessional teamoverseeingthis project.Thisteamisled byAnnetteStanfordAr chitectandthefollowing aretheteammembers. MargaretFlanneryQuan titySurveyor,Tomas McKennaStructuralEngi neer,Moloney/FoxElec

    RestorationoftheBell Towerprovedtobeabig gerjobthanexpectedas ivywasgrowingonthetop section.Thestonework hadtobereconstructed againtoensurethesafety ofthebuilding.Theupper portionofthetowerhad tobecompletelyre pointedwithlimemortar.

    accommodatethenew heightoftheroof.It wasadifficulttask securingtheoldslates astheyvariedinsize somemeasuring3ftx 2ft.Closeto12%ofthe slatesweredamaged
