Define Method of Singularity functions. Why Macaulays Method is Advantageous than other methods? A beam AB of length l simply supported at the ends carries a point load W at a distance a from left end. Find Deflection and Maximum deflection. A beam with a span of 4.5m carries a point load of 30kN at 3m from left support. Ixx = 54.97x10-6 m4 and E = 200GN/m2, Find, (i) Deflection (ii) Position and amount of Maximum deflection. A steel girder of uniform section, 14m long is simply supported at its end. It carries a point load of 90kN and 60kN at 3m and 4.5m respectively. Calculate: (i) Deflection of the girder at the points under two loads. (ii) The maximum deflection. Take : I=64x10-4m4 and E=210x10-6kN/m2 A beam AB of span 8m is simply supported at its ends. It carries a UDL of 30kN/m over entire length and also carries a concentrated load of 60kN at 3m from support A. Determine Maximum deflection in the beam and location where maximum deflection occurs.
