Legislaia referitoare la avort n Romnia. Prin Decretul-lege nr.

1 din 26 decembrie 1989 (prima lege dat dup Revoluia din decembrie 1989), avortul este permis n primele 3 luni de sarcin, urmnd a fi efectuat numai n uniti spitaliceti cu dotare i cu personal specializat. Ultima modificare a legii a fost n 1996, prin care ntreruperea cursului sarcinii, prin orice mijloace, svrit ntr-una din urmtoarele mprejurri: n afara instituiilor medicale sau cabinetelor medicale autorizate n acest scop, de ctre o persoan care nu are calitatea de medic de specialitate, dac vrsta sarcinii a depit paisprezece sptmni, se pedepeste cu nchisoare de la 6 luni la 3 ani". Iat cteva statistici referitoare la avort care cuprind anii: 1970,1980,1985, 1989 i anul imediat urmtor revoluiei, deci dup legiferarea avortului n Romnia. Se observ c numrul de avorturi a crescut de 5 ori.

n perioada 1991-1998 se observ o scdere lent a numrului de avorturi, dar acest numr rmne n continuare foarte ridicat. Putem spune c am declarat rzboi propriei noastre naiuni i riscm s disprem ca i naiune din cauza avortului i contracepiei! n spatele fiecrui numr a existat o persoan uman care ar fi avut ceva de dat umanitii, dar a fost mpiedicat de la aceasta! Pe plan mondial, Romnia continu s fie n frunte n ceea ce privete avorturile, nregistrndu -se o rat de 3 avorturi la fiecare natere a unui copil viu. Numrul de avorturi din ara noastr efectuate n perioada 1989-2000, deci dup legalizarea avortului, sunt n numr 11.000.000. n 2002, 20.000 de fete de 15 ani au fcut avort. La nivelul Spitalului Municipial Roman, ntre anii 2000 -2006 s-au efectuat un numr ridicat de avorturi: Anul 2000 2001 2328 2002 2185 2003 1883 2004 1640 2005 1266 2006 1002

Datele prezentate de Spitalul Municipal Roman arat c dintr-o medie de 5-6 avorturi pe zi, 3 sunt la tinere cu vrsta cuprins ntre 13 i 25 de ani. Aceaste date nu cuprind i numrul de avorturi din cabinetele ginecologice particulare.

Whomever you decide to speak with, make sure it's someone who will help you consider all the moral and emotional aspects of the road you will choose. The hormones and extreme emotions of pregnancy make reasonable decisions more difficult. Don 't make your choice without the advice of someone you can trust to lead you down the best possible path. Consider your own life. Spending nine months pregnant with a child you don't think you are prepared to parent can be difficult, but taking your unborn child 's life is a decision you can never reverse. Should you choose to terminate your pregnancy, you will likely suffer from guilt, remorse and grief, possibly for many years to come. In

addition, abortion can cause medical complications that may make it impossible for you to become pregnant when you think you are ready to be a parent. You may be making a decision affecting not only this child, but also your future children. Consider the life of your child. Expected or unexpected, every child deserves to be loved. Just like you, your unborn baby deserves a chance at a happy life. As you make a decision about what to do next, listen to your heart, like your baby does; he hears it beating all the time.
