FILIPINO INVENTORS AS TECHNO-PRENEURS

These are but some of the diverse products that are proudly being offered
to the public by over 30 Filipino inventors joining the Quezon City Filipino
Inventor's Expo and Trade Fair (PinoyInvent) from September 30 to
October 4, 2013 at the Quezon City Hall grounds.
This year, the Expo is highlighted by two showcases that underscore the
wave of the future. First are winning entries of student-inventors from
Ramon Magsaysay High School, Sergio Osmena High School, Lagro High
School and Batasan National High School . Second, are robot-creations of
students given top honors at the recently concluded 2013 Robotics
Olympiad from Dr. Yanga College, Inc., Benigno S Aquino National High
School, and Tibagan Elementary School.
PinoyInvent is the first leg in the City's three-in-one, annual promotional
and marketing platform in support of micro and small entrepreneurs - the Quezon City Trade Show.
The Show is being organized for the Quezon City Government by its Sikap
Buhay Entrepreneurship and Cooperative Office in cooperation with the

ROBOT-INVASION AT THE QC-PINOYINVENT SHOW
The Quezon City Government recently announced that the wave of the
future will be showcased at its City Hall grounds from September 30 to
October 4, 2013 during the Quezon City Filipino Inventor's Expo and Trade
Fair (PinoyInvent)
The robot creations of high school and elementary students from from Dr.
Yanga College, Inc., Benigno S Aquino National High School, and Tibagan
Elementary School that placed in the top 3 spots in their respective
category of the 2013 Robotics Olympiad will be on display at the Quezon
City Hall Inner Lobby. Of note is Dr. Yangas College, Inc. that represented
the country last July in Sydney, Australia for the FLL Asia-Pacific Open
Robotics Competition. Their multi-robot solution for an Interactive and
Integrated Assistive Geriatric Environment placed them on the 'to-watch'
list.
Creating these robots was not just 'for fun' but really enabled the students
to further develop various knowledge and skills such as different levels
and aspects of interactivity, simple engineering, computer programming,
science and technology, critical thinking, communication and team
building.

products such as TINAS Pasalubong and Home-made delicacies and
Artistikas corporate giveaways will also be on hand to tempt early
Christmas shoppers. Product categories include: giftware, houseware,
decors, wearables and accessories, processed food, and beauty health
and wellness.
