Introduction
This novel is based upon a man who threw himself in a prison to break out his brother who was sentenced to death in few months for the murder of the Vice Presidents brother. He was a structural engineer and his name was Michael Scofield. His brother Lincoln Burrows was setup by the corrupt government officials also known as Company. The head of the Company was General Jonathan Krantz. Michael knew that his brother was been set up but he didnt have the evidence to prove that his brother was innocent. His brother case was being fought by his brothers ex girlfriend but because of lack of evidences she was not able to release his brother from the jail. So he planned to break out his brother from the jail but that would be a very difficult task for him it was not as easy to break someone breakout who was accused of murdering vice presidents brother. He had the blue prints of the jail where his brother was held in he got them from the companies record room where he work he stole those prints and brought them home and there he works on those blue prints and tries to figure out that how could he be able to rescue his brother from the prison he spend weeks and weeks to overview those prints tries to remember them in his mind but he couldnt because that was a very difficult task for a man to remember the prints of the whole jail. One day when he ordered the pizza and tries to ease himself from the tension when the delivery girl came with the pizza he se saws a lot of tattoos on her body he come up with the brilltent idea to print those blue prints on his body like the tattoos. he was a brilliant man with a brilliant brain he himself design those blue prints like a tattoo on the rough page and took them to the tattoo shop where they printed those on his body. It took a while because that was a very pain full task to print that kind of tattoos on the whole body it took a great deal of time. But for his brother time was money because he hadnt that much time to live his sentenced came near while he was planning to rescue mission for his brother. After the planting of those blue prints of the jail he fake tries to rob the bank where he was taken to the judiciary where he confesses his crime that he was actually trying to rob the bank after his confession he was sentenced for 7 year jail period where he requested to be put into the specfic jail named FOX RIVER. That was the same jail where his brother was held in. In the jail he build relations with his cell mate because of with his cell mates help the rescue mission could not be possible. He also started working on starting building relations with other peoples who could help him in the jail and outside the jail. In those people some of them were really bad and some very good.

In first he had very difficulty in making relations with them because he was new in the jail and nobody wants to talk to the new guy because all were old and convicted murderers and rapists and thugs. Going through extreme pain and difficulty he somehow built relations with all his connections he needed including the doctor who used to examine the prisoners. She was the daughter of the governor of the state. He pretended to care about her and even fall in love for her and somehow he was able to convince her that he love her a lot and she also start loving him but secretly because her status did not allowed her to love a convicted criminal. She starts giving him extra time and treatment and even some gifts but she didnt say with her mouth that she loves him. She didnt know that she was the key to the whole plan so she fell easy for the beautiful and charming looks criminal. Meanwhile Michal schofild also starts building relations with other criminals and the warden of the jail because that was very essential plan for his rescue mission. Because he was an engineer and he had no criminal record before so the warden of the jail asked him for the favor to build the tag mahel for his wife so that he can give present to his wife on their upcoming wedding anniversary. But Michael refused to do so because he had not much time for that kind of activities. To build relations with other convicts one was the from the mafia and he was less then pleased because Michal knows about the one and only evidence who saw him murder some body. When Michael mentions to him that he knows about that man who saw him killed somebody he torture him but Michael refuses to give him that answer because of their conflict between themselves they fight with each other and according to the rules of the prison they were ordered to sent to the solitary when Michael here about the solitary he accepts the wardens offer to build the tag mahel for his wife beacuse he knew that if he goes to the solitary he wouldnt be able to rescue his brother. Because of his good behavior the warden also starts to like him that was a plus point for Michael. The mafia boss also become well with him because he knew that he wouldnt be able to get that information he needs with torture he had to be polite so he also become Michaels friend. His cellmate also agrees to complete his plan because his girl friend was leaving him over other guy he thought if he gets out he will marry her girl friend and will go far away where nobody knows him. There was a way from his cell to the doctors room from where they can get out of the prison. Its he examines how much time he can take to get out of his cell to the doctors room and then to get out from the prison all was based on the time and mathematical calculations. sewerage water flows out of the prison while attending the doctor he puts acid which he makes in the prison with the formula he found on the internet. In every meeting with the doctor he puts that acid in that pipe and because of that acid the pipe started to spoil. To fulfill his plan to escape from the prison he should know where the police would be coming from and how much time they would take to come so he went to the roof of the prison after he was assigned to work on the tag Maher project given by the warden of the prison to him from there with the help of the key which was given to him by his friends to him he come out from the wardens room and goes to the roof. There were always the finals counting of the prisoners before going to their bed when they found out that Michal was not in his bed they rang the alarm that Michael has escaped. After the alarm was set police from everywhere within few minutes gap came from every direction expect from one corner that corner Michael noted and comes back to the wardens office. Because of the disturbance created in the prison the warden came to the jailer and asked about the situtations where he was told that Michael was escaped but he didnt believe that because he himself left him in his office with the guard duty on him. The jailer didnt believe the warden and wanted to check himself if he was there so they go to the wardens office their they sees Michael and get satisfied. The second task of his escape mission was completed where he noted the time and place of the coming police vehicles. While he was planning to escape his plan was interrupted by the few other prisoners. One was included in the team when they were making a whole in the officers office. His name was
Benjamin Miles he was also known as C NOTE in the prison. He was an ex military posted in Iraq where he

saw torture on the prisoners and told the senior officers about that and was framed by them beacuse they were doing the permission of higher authority. He was accused of stealing supply of the military. He was also included in the escape group after he discovered what they were up to. Now all things were set plan was going according to the plans he just needed the diversion so that he can escape with his mates and brothers from the prison. Which he created by shutting down the ACs of the prison. By shutting down the ACs the chaos was created in the prison because it was very hot in there prisoners were very impatience and angry on guards so they started to beat the guards in the prison that creates a lot of mess and diversion in for Michael and his friends to escape from the prison. One by one they started to go out from the way which was through Michaels cell their another prisoner joins them he was a rapists and a murderer he found out the hole in the Michaels cell and tries to shout but was quit down by

others and offers to join in escape which he accepts his name was Theodore also known as T BAG in the prison. When they all reached the pipe under the doctors office from which they were to escape but they found out that there was a brand new pipe replaced by the old and the spoiled one. The pipe was seen by the one of the guards when he was washing his mouth in the wash baison in doctors office so there the pipe was replaced. Michael become furious and all other becomes angry with him they all wanted to escape but there was no other way they all went back to the prison. Michael was thinking about what just happened when he sees the doctor was in deep trouble. She was surrounded by the criminals and was just about to be killed in some time. Through the pipe line he reached to the doctors room in the other building and saves her. Now he works on the other plan which was his backup plan he arranges the uniforms of the mental ward prisoners and planes to escape out from the mental ward because there was another way to the doctors room from the mental ward. The map was on his body so the way was not much difficult for him he took few days to remembers the path and the way he knew that the way was risky but he had no choice so he start to work on that plan. After completing the home work for his escape from the mental ward he combines others and tells them they all wanted to escape so they agrees on his plan. One day they all get together in the Michaels cell because the way was through his cell and go to the mental ward from the tunnel the which was great because they have to some in front of all the guards but Michael had a plan he rang the fire alarm of the mental ward there all the prisoners came out of the building and because of the help of the uniforms they had they merge into the mental hospitals prisoners. From there they go to the doctors office through tunnels and from there they reached the window from where they had to break out from the prison. They broke the window with the help of the wire connected through doctors office to the wall of the prison they all escaped.

Characters in the Novel

Michael Scofield
He was a professional engineer who works for the well known company and was very skilled and genius. His brother was framed for the murdering of vice presidents brother. He knows from depth of

his heart that that was not true and his brother was not a killer so he planes to break him out from the prison where he was kept in because all legal actions he has taken were put to side because of lake of evidence. He was the master mind of planning an escape from the prison and because of his inelegance he was able to get his brother out of the jail. In process of that escape few of more prisoners were also joined in his group of escapees.

Lincoln Burrows
He was the brother of Michael scofield. He was not as successful as his brother and also not successful as his brother thats why he was involved in illicit activities. He use to rob peoples, cars, and many more. He was approached by some corrupt government officials to kill somebody. They give him guns to test where his figure prints were taken from the gun he tests. And when he goes to the place where he was to kill the man he saw that that the man was already dead he ran but was caught in the camera which was placed there by those government officers. By few camera tricks they make the video and proved that he killed the vice presidents brother and was sentenced to death by the judiciary.

Veronica Donovan
She was the ex girlfriend of Lincoln burrows and was defending the case of the burrows because she still had feelings for Lincoln. She tried very hard to collect the evidence which can prove that Lincoln was innocent but the circumstances were not in favor of her beacuse everything was been removed by those so called officers before she could reach there. On the way back to home she found a home at strange place when her car was crashed she when there for help she found out that the vice president brother was alive she convinced the brother to come in front of the press and tells them that he was alive when she called the police two agents came and killed her instead.

Fernando Sucre
He was the cellmate of Michaels and was a very good person. He fell in love with a girl who was with another rich man. To impress that girl he stole the money from the shop in his area few times but after few days he was caught when he was stealing money. He was betrayed by his own friend how inform the police that the store was been robbed by him. He was sentenced for 7 years.

Theodore 'T-Bag' Bagwell

He was in prison with Michal and was not a very good man infect he was a very bad man he used to rape girls and killed them he was sentenced for his all life in the prison. Michael sat on his bench when he 1st came in the prison he was not pleased with him and offers him alliance but Michael refused his offer. That was not a very promising start for Michael to T-Bag watch after what Michael was up to when he found out he joined the camping after blackmailing them that he will tell to the jail officials that what were they up to.

Dr. Sara Tancredi

She was the daughter of the governor and was a doctor also. She went to prison to watch after the sick patients. Her father was not very happy about her job but her relations with her father were not so good so she continues to work there where she meet Michael and fell in love with him.

Brad Bellick
He was the in charge of the prison and also he was very corrupt. He used to take bribe from prisoners and give them facilities.

Alex Mahone
He was a very good FBI agent who was tasked by the agency to capture all the escapees from the jail but his dark side was he use to do drugs and he also was owned by THE COMPANY. He use to work for the company before his career he killed a man who also was a mass murderer he was to turn in that man after catching him but on orders of THE COMPANY he killed them. After the escape of Michael and his brother and other prisoner he was assigned the task by the company and THE COMPANY to find them.

Paul Kellerman

He was one of the important members of THE COMPANY. He planned the whole stage of murdering the vice president brother and he was responsible for the setup of the Michaels brother. He planned the whole operation himself.

LJ Burrows
He was son of Lincoln. He was also set up by Paul when they come to his home visiting his mom and killing them. LJ was successful in escaping but was also accused of murdering his own family. Later he was captured and was sent to the prison where after escaping Michael planes to breakout LJ also.

Benjamin Miles 'C-Note' Franklin

He was the ex military solider and was posted in Iraq. He was posted in Iraq where he saw some illegal activities going on like torching the prisoners. There he reported to his senior officers but was framed by them and was accused by one of his companies officers that he was stealing the army equipment and supplies he was sent to Fox River where he met Michael. Michael asked him for some medicines by the help of whom he was going to make the acid. He became suspicious and tried to find out what they were up to and when he did he also joined them.

Veronica Donovan
She was the ex-girlfriend of Lincoln and a lawyer also. After their break she was with somebody else but she still had feelings for Lincoln so she decided to fight the case of Lincoln. But due to lake of evidences she was not successful. Later in the novel she was killed by the guards of the vice president brother when she found him in out skirts of the city.

Warden Henry Pope

He was the warden of the prison named Fox River where Lincoln and Michael were imprisoned. Due to some of his leniency Michael had the chance to plan the whole escape. But he was a good man he was fired and faced the judiciary after the escape of Michael and other inmates and later he was expelled from the duty for few months.

John Abruzzi
He was the mafia boss in the prison and the main key for the Michaels plan to escape from the prison. Because he was the mob boss he had the resources that Michael could utilize so he figures out to somehow blackmail John. John was in the prison because of the murder case whose witness was still out there and all the mob were finding him but they couldnt so Michael with his brilliant mind found that witness and played that card in front of John 1st he torches Michael but Michael didnt gave in the information he needed so he thought to become polite and take out the information being polite and thats how he became the system of whole escape plan.

Charles Westmoreland
He was ex military who stole money from the plan late in 70es. He was a paratrooper and jumped from the plane after stealing the money and when he reached the earth his foot broke down. But somehow he managed to escape from there with the help of his car but after few miles his car engine broke down and because of his broken foot he was not able to move anywhere so when the police found him out they sent them to prison. Before going to prison he hides the money where nobody can find out. Michael needed him for his money so that they can survive after the escape.

Governor Frank Tancredi

He was the governor of the state and his daughter works in Fox River prison. He was not happy about that but couldnt do anything. Later in the movie his daughter helps Michael and other inmates escape from the prison and because of that his all political career was at stake. And because of being in the government he knows all the dark secrets of the government he was not happy about that. So he decided to go public but was killed by THE Company.

Conclusion
Prison break 1st novel was about two brothers who need to break out of prison. This novel had going on much more behind the actual scene; as there was also government planning at the back. This novel has everything it needed to be successful: romance, bonding, action and much more. When I 1 st

read the novel I thought that this could be going on for a while but, due to Michaels genius plan, it was successful early. It was an extremely entertaining and well-done first run, and I'm expecting big things now that Michael and Lincoln are fugitives. I was never into reading novels and stuff until I started reading prison break. It was the 1st book who kept me busy in days of exams and holidays. I would like to say thank u to my friend who convinces me to read this book. This novel is simply the best and I hope nobody, including me, can read it once; if you have read it one time you would read it again and again and again. The idea of having tattoos on the body was brilliant. Michael and T bagwel were one of my favorites; there acting and speaking style all was just awesome. In short, I would like to say that if you are a curious person you will not stop reading the book until you finish it. If you have nothing to do and wish to have some quality time alone there cant be better choice of reading this book.
