Research Assistant- University of Michigan- Biological Informatics Wrote functional Perl/Python script for large amounts of data input/output. Collaborated to optimize a protein interaction program. Re-wrote script for updating database of proteins. Research Assistant- University of Michigan-Biological Chemistry Worked directly with a team to explore function and folding of B12 proteins using folding/binding kinetics with alternate substrates. Worked directly with the turnover of the proteins using High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), absorbance spectroscopy and gel electrophoresis. Trained in separation and handling of unstable proteins and preparations of large scale assays. Presented the results at the undergraduate Michigan Research Symposium in April 2011.
