Ingleby Mill Primary December 2013 Newsletter

How quickly the first term has passed! The children are settled, working hard and enjoying their learning. Visitors this term have commented upon their very positive attitudes towards school and how well they are engaged in their learning. Advent is upon us and we are busy preparing for nativity plays, concerts, Christingles and parties! You will find a list of key dates for diaries for the approaching celebrations: please cut out & keep them so you dont miss any important events! Ingleby Mill Children Making a Positive Contribution to their Community: The very impressive amount of 975 was raised in total through children dressing as heroes for Children in Need: brilliant!! The sale of cakes always goes down well and this year was no exception. THANK YOU to everyone who donated, supported and encouraged the children to help others. Friendship Week The children had great fun learning about what being a friend means, looks like and feels like. Their learning during the week involved lots of drama, circle time, recognising each others strengths and saying what they value in a friend. This annual event coincides with National Anti Bullying Week but we emphasise the positive influence of friendship and being a good friend. Shoe Boxes Thank you to the many families who made contributions to the annual Rotary Shoe Box Appeal. We all know that times are hard so the fact that we managed to send over 120 boxes is testimony to your kindness. Thanks again.
