The main objective of Web-based Online Employment Examination is to efficiently evaluate the candidate thoroughly through a fully automated system that not only saves lot of time but also gives fast results. Web-based Online Employment Examination is a system that evaluates the applicants in business industry specifically for the hiring of O&B applicants with precise knowledge and skills for a specified position. Who: Staffs and applicants of O&B Where: User and Company: The users of this system are precisely applicants and staffs of O&B. Applicants need to know how to access internet and make their profiles with the system. The Examiner need to possess a good skill of certain languages that have to be used while uploading of questions etc. overall users of this system do not need to have a very high technical know-how. This system is user-friendly. When: Orange & Bronze Software Labs Inc. (O&B) is a privately-owned computer software development company based in the Philippines. The company delivers software consulting, product engineering, and IT training services with a focus on Java technology. Their mantra is to successfully create software and provide technology solutions that work. Currently, O&B uses the traditional way of examination by using pen and paper based examination on their potential employees, which takes a long time for them to release the performance result of the applicants. Why: The importance of having a Web-based Online Employment Examination is that online examinations can be conducted at any time and does not sustain higher cost as traditional exam scenario as there is no paper work involved. There is also no invigilators, also no need of arrangement of exam centers. When comparing with traditional exam scenario the cost for an online examination will be almost zero after the online exam system is established. How: First, the applicant will submit their resume online/onsite in the HR department for the verification purposes. Then, it will be forwarded to the

examination it takes long time to release the results, but in case of online exam the administrator will get an immediate result of the performance of the applicants with their ranking, that compares how well an applicant has performed in comparison with other applicants who have taken exams at the same time. Because of Online examination the administrator as well as applicants can save time from long waiting of the results which would have been the case on traditional paper and pen based exam. Using the primitive way of examination the results can be also prone to errors. The O&B Web-based Online Employment Examination will produce errorfree, fast and consistent results. It can be a valuable part of interview and hiring process. It has many types of employee tests that can be used to gain important data. The use of it will depend on the companys need, budget and the availability of a valid and reliable test. Using this system, administrator can conduct examination nationwide. They can select candidates for their organization within a very short time. Administrator can upload his own questions from the administrator menu. Scope and Limitations O&B Web-based Online Employment Examination is an online examination that is capable of storing, viewing, editing, searching, deleting and retrieving data on the administrator menu. It is also capable of giving on exam with a random sequence of questions. The results will be transferred to the respective department for the evaluation of the applicants. All records will be stored in a database which will only be accessible to the administrator. The proposed project will not work if there is no internet connection. The researcher will use NetBeans 7.1. In terms of interface design, the researcher will utilize the Adobe Photoshop. MySQL will be used in creating the databases of the system.
