**With no Numerical Methods
If wed wanted to solve the differential equation by an exact method, we could have
used the Method of the Integrating Factor, as follows:

The Integrant Factor:

Multiplying the whole equation:

Integrating and solving the equation:

Then we have the initial condition

Thus,

We finally have for the first tank:

For the 200 minute

.

And the result given in Eulers Method is:

Solutions:
Solving these differential equations, by an exact method is a little complicated so,
here we will solve this problem by using a Numerical Method (Euler Method),
therefore we will have this recurrence equation, given by the Numerical Method
mentioned.

Where h is the increase of the iterations. (In this case we have chosen h = 0.5 min,
giving a better approximation)
Therefore, we must solve the equation for

Where n is the number of the tank.

Remembering that in time zero, the initial temperature is 20C; we will start
performing some iterations1 from this value:
.
1

In this case we have initially used Microsoft Excel to iterate until a more accurate
value, avoiding errors in the calculator. Then we made a MatLab algorithm.
Here below, we have the Table A.1. of iterations for each tank in times with
increases of 0.5 min.
