Budapest Open Access Initiative, 2002 Open Journal Systems (OJS) is a journal management and publishing system that has been developed by the Public Knowledge Project through its federally funded efforts to expand and improve access to research.

Subscription module with delayed open access options. Comprehensive indexing of content part of global system. Reading Tools for content, based on field and editors' choice. OJS Features
OJS assists with every stage of the refereed publishing process, from submissions through to online publication and indexing. Through its management systems, its finely grained indexing of research, and the context it provides for research, OJS seeks to improve both the scholarly and public quality of refereed research. OJS is open source software made freely available to journals worldwide for the purpose of making open access publishing a viable option for more journals, as open access can increase a journal's readership as well as its contribution to the public good on a global scale

Download Paket Program OJS di http://pkp.sfu.ca/ojs_download

Extract paket OJS ke folder htdocs C:\xampp\htdocs (dimana kamu menginstal XAMPP)

Agar lebih mudah dalam pemanggilan di browser , ubah nama folder OJS 2.3.x menjadi ojs
Setelah nama direktori diganti, sehingga memudahkan dalam memanggil portal jurnal dg http://localhost/ojs Buatlah folder baru , dengan nama folder files , di C:\xampp\htdocs\ojs. Folder files ini berfungsi untuk menampung file OJS Kemudian menentukan hak akses, pd slide berikutnya.

Menentukan Hak Akses

Aktifkan Browser Mozila Ketik url http://localhost/phpmyadmin Klik hak akses Menambah pengguna baru (add new users) dg form isian sbb : Username : ojs Host : localhost Password : ojs

Start Instalasi
Aktifkan Browser Mozila Firefox Ketik pada menu bar http://localhost/ojs <enter> akan menampilkan :

Mengkonfigurasi Bahasa
Pada primary locale : pilih English Pada Additional locales : centang saja English Pada Client Character Set , Conection Character Set , Database Character Set pilih Centang pada kotak cek Do Not create required subdirectoties

Security Setting
Pada security setting pilih MD5 Administrator Account : Username : ojs Password : ojs

Database Setting
Database Driver : My SQL Host : localhost Username : ojs Database Name : ojs Password : ojs centang create new database setelah itu klik Install Open Journal Systems
