Specifications for Toilet Partitions Part One: General 1.

1 Scope Specification apply to steel toilet partitions/ cubicles with doors and hardware for fixing and mounting of the panels as per architects design, plans and schedules as manufactured by Shakti Met-dor. The scope of work includes design, supply, installation and handing except ci il works. Part Two: Products !."1 Material and finishes

A. #ll partitions / cubicles should be made out of first grade $uality gal ani%ed steel
conforming to &&. #ll products should be made out of ".'mm (!)g* gal ani%ed sheet. +f it is a stainless steel partition or cubicle, grade ,") or ,1' should be used and finished to number ) matt finish.

B. #ll gal ani%ed steel toilet partitions should be cleaned, phosphati%ed and finished with
one coat of epoxy etching primer of ,--)" microns followed by ,--)" microns of polyurethane paint. #ll panels/ doors should be o en baked for durability and finish. !."! .onstruction of cubicles /eneral The panels and doors should be constructed out of !-mm thick sandwiched skin with the infill material of honey comb core. The core should be bonded with resin and should ha e a flat face on either side. 0ptional material of polyurethane foam if suggested should be of density )"1g per cubic meter as specified. #ll panels should ha e a built in feature to be totally sight proof on all four corners for better pri acy. Standard gap of 1-"mm on sides and on the mo ing element has to be pro ided unless otherwise specified or scheduled in the drawing or layout. .ubicles should ha e a pro ision for mounting of the toilet hardware like handrails, hinges, locks with indicator, coat hooks, tissue holders and taps as scheduled and specified. #ll panels should be fully protected with the self adhesi e film and to be remo ed at the handing o er of the cubicles. 2or type of .ubicle to be used, see the model as mentioned below. A. 2loor Mounted with legs3 The cubicles are mounted on the nylon or stainless steel
cylindrical support legs. Support bars on top for stability and integrity which in turn is connected to solid wall support. 4all brackets and corner brackets to be used while assembling the cubicles. +n addition the door should ha e a self closing hinge and an indicator slip latch or bolt with a knob outside.

B. 5ilaster 2loor mounted with top bracing3 The cubicle should be with a pilaster with top
bracing taking into consideration the stability of the panels. Top bracing should be connected to the wall for additional support and stability. 4all brackets and corner brackets to be used while assembling the cubicles. +n addition the door should ha e a self closing hinge and an indicator slip latch or bolt with a knob outside.

.. 5ilaster 2loor mounted without top bracing3 The cubicle should be with a pilaster mounting on the floor but without any top bracing for aesthetics. #ll fixed panels should be connected to the wall and supported by pilasters between each system on the opening side. 4all brackets and corner brackets to be used while assembling the cubicles. +n addition the door should ha e a self closing hinge and an indicator slip latch or bolt with a knob outside.

D. Top 8ung3 The cubicles should be top hung with the pilaster connected or suspended
from the ceiling. Structural support for mounting the pilaster needs to be checked and confirmed by the supplier. 4all brackets and corner brackets to be used while assembling the cubicles. +n addition the door should ha e a self closing hinge and an indicator slip latch or bolt with a knob outside. 5art Three3 +nstallation and 4arranty ,."1 +nstallation #ll cubicles should be checked for dimensional accuracy before start of installation. #ny ariations in the agreed site conditions or ci il structure should be addressed before installing the panels and doors. The internal fittings like 4. related works should be completed in all aspects before the panels are positioned. #ll installation works should be carried out in accordance with the norms set by Shakti Met-dor. ,."1 4arranty The manufacturer Shakti Met-dor should certify that all toilet compartments fabricated are in accordance with specifications set forth and the appro ed hardware. #ll materials, workmanship and finishes are guaranteed against any defects for one (1* year from date of deli ery or the date of installation which e er comes early, when used and maintained as recommended.
