Six or more entries $12, $8, $6 Five and less entries $8, $6 The Isaac Wildlife Trust has donated a Bronze Trophy for the Supreme Champion of all Breeds. The Trophy is to be held for twelve months by the winner after which it shall be returned for annual competition. The New Zealand Riding Pony Society has donated a Bronze Trophy to be awarded to the Runner-up for the Supreme Champion of all Breeds. This trophy is to be held for twelve months by the winner after which it shall be returned for annual competition. The Pony Breeders Society of New Zealand has donated a Trophy to be awarded to the Supreme Champion of All Breeds Gelding. NOTE: A tied score in the above Trophies will be decided on a count-back. The horse with the most 9s will be declared the winner. If scores are still tied, the horse with the most 8s will be declared the winner etc. The Family of the late C.S. Todd donates a Trophy for most points (any Section) in the Futurity. Glencree Pony Stud has donated a trophy to be awarded to the Best All Breeds Foal to be held by the winner for twelve months, after which it shall be returned for annual competition. Sir Neil Isaac Trophy donated by Lady Diana Isaac for the winner of the Supreme Turnout, to be held by the winner for twelve months, after which it shall be returned for annual competition. Judge: Maree Boal To be Judged individually between 10am noon The emphasis of judging will be on the handling and exhibiting of the horse or pony rather than turnout. Points will be awarded as follows: Ringcraft / Workout Sympathy between Handler & Horse Turnout 20 points 20 points 10 points 50 points

Class 300 - Teenage Handler Class (Junior) 11 years to 14 years of age on the day of the show. Conditions of Entry
1. All entries to be made on printed forms enclosed. Additional copies may be obtained from the website www.cantybreedersshow.webs.com or on the Facebook page Canterbury Horse and Pony Breeders Society. Entries close 20 January 2014. 2. Entry fees must accompany the entry form, otherwise the entries will not be accepted. A 75% refund on entry fees may be approved on production of vet or Doctors certificate within 7 days of the show. 3. Entry form must be filled in by the exhibitor or person authorised by him or her and the entries are made subject to all Rules of the show. No entry will be received except on the express condition that the exhibitor will comply with and submit to the Rules of the show in all respects. 4. The Committee, in its absolute discretion may without assigning any reason, refuse an entry or cancel any entry already accepted or decline to admit to the Show grounds, or remove any animal or exhibitor or person. 5. In all classes the name of the horse, date of birth, sire, dam, stud-book number where applicable and name of breeder shall be given on entry form. If no breeder's name is given it is assumed that the Exhibitor is the breeder. 6. When an animal has been duly entered and catalogued in any Class, the substitution of another animal will not be permitted. 7. No animal may be entered in more than one Section except for progeny in progeny classes or classes where eligibility of other sections is stated. Classes will not be delayed for any entry being judged in another class at the same time. No progeny group may be shown in two sections. 8. The responsibility for accuracy of the description or pedigree and for the eligibility of animals to compete rests solely with the exhibitor. If any entry contains any inaccuracy that inaccuracy may be waived by the committee, but if not so waived the entry shall be disqualified. 9. All exhibitors in classes where heights are stipulated must produce a valid height certificate (either RAS Life or RAS Annual or a Youngstock Certificate dated after January 1st 2014) All ponies to be measured under RAS Ruling. 10. Breeding and registration numbers to be given on entry form. All entries must be registered in accordance with the Rules of their respective Breed Society. In all sections:- (a) Geldings will only be eligible for specific gelding awards. (b) Best Foal will only be eligible for the Best Foal of All Breeds award. 11. Judging will commence at 8.30am . Refer to sections for individual section start times. 12. Supreme winners and Gelding winners from each section, are required to parade for the Isaac Wildlife Trust Trophy and All Breeds Gelding Championship respectively, failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of the Championship. 13. Futurities. These Classes are being phased out. (a) Futurity Finals. All three year old futurity finalists must be presented at finals presentation prior to the Supreme Awards to be eligible for placing. (b) Once a horse/pony is entered as a yearling they must remain in the section entered for the remainder of the futurity. (c) All horses must be haltered and led (d) Colts over 6 months and Stallions must be in a bridle with a bit. 14. DRUG TESTING: Drug or forbidden substances testing may be carried out under the regulation of the R.A.S. Section 55a and the procedures thereof. These regulations and procedures will be available for inspection with the show secretary. 15. PROTEST (a) The judges decision shall be FINAL unless a protest is made to any exhibit and allowed on the grounds of disqualification. The awarding of placings is at the discretion of the judge. (b) All protests must be in writing and may be entered either before or after commencement of judging in the class. A protest must be lodged with the Secretary and unless lodged by a Committee Member or a Judge, must be accompanied by a deposit of $50.00 which shall be refunded only if the protest is upheld. If a protest is lodged before commencement of judging in the class, the onus of proof

shall be on the exhibitor against whom the protest is made. Otherwise, the onus of proof shall be on the person lodging the protest. No protest may be lodged later than one hour after affixing of ribbons or rosettes. (c) All protests shall be considered by the Committee or by a Sub Committee of not less than three persons appointed by the Committee for that purpose and the decision of the Committee or SubCommittee shall be final. 16. ALTERATIONS The committee reserves the right to make any alterations to the programme or to postpone or cancel the Show or any class or event as it sees fit. 17. SPECIAL NOTE TO EXHIBITORS (a) It is the responsibility of all exhibitors to ensure that no horse or pony is brought on to the grounds displaying the symptoms of contagious or infectious disease. The Committee reserves the right to have any animal inspected by a Veterinarian (at the exhibitors expense) who may order it to be removed from the grounds. (b) Colts and Stallions, six months and over, shall be led with a bit in the mouth, excluding Miniature Horses. (c) All exhibitors are required to pay for a catalogue at time of entry. Catalogues may be collected from the Secretary's office at Showgrounds, if a large SAE is not provided. (d) The only identification to be used for exhibits is the number in the Schedule allocated by the Secretary, and must be attached to the exhibit. (e) COMPETITORS are asked to pay special attention to RULE 7, under Conditions of Entry. (f) The Committee reserves the right to merge classes with insufficient entries in any Section. (g) The gates to the Canterbury Agricultural Park are locked between 8pm and 6am each night, so horses to be left over night must be boxed before 8pm. The Canterbury A & P will allow no one to stay overnight at the grounds. (h) Canterbury A & P box charges are $25 per box. Straw will be provided at the box door. Box preference will be given to stallions, mares & foals, and colts. A grass float park is available for tying horses to floats / trucks. 18. The Committee will not be responsible for any accident, loss or damage that may be caused to or suffered by any exhibit or exhibitor or otherwise notwithstanding any alleged negligence on the part of any officer or servant of the Committee, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the Committee indemnified against any claim in respect of any such accident, loss or damage caused by such exhibitor or his/her exhibit. By entering the Show you are deemed to accept and be bound by the Society's conditions of entry and indemnify the Society under the provisions of Health and Safety in Employment Act 1993. Entering this show denotes acceptance of the RAS Forbidden Substances Rules and the Rules and Conditions of the Canterbury Horse & Pony Breeders Society Show and give the Committee the right to publish names and addresses in the Show catalogue and as they see fit. The trophy is to be held for twelve months by the winner after which it shall be returned for annual competition.

This trophy is to be held for twelve months by the winner after which it shall be returned for annual competition. 2013 winner: Ballineen Blue Mountain, Tracey Crossan (S. Irish) The Pony Breeders Society of NZ has donated a Trophy to be awarded to the Supreme Champion of All Breeds Gelding. 2013 winner: Eyredale Enchanted Radiance, MA Petrie (Pony) NOTE: A tied score in the above trophies will be decided on a count-back. The horse with the most 9s will be declared the winner. If scores are still tied, the horse with the most 8s will be declared the winner etc. The family of the late CS Tod donates a trophy for most points (in any section) of the Futurity. The Sir Neil Isaac Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the winner of the Supreme Turnout award, to be held by the winner for twelve months, after which it shall be returned for annual competition. 2013 winner : Maxwelton Penelope Pitstop, R & J Cooper (M.
