Background
Three Myanmar youths established the Pizimaryone Monastic Charity Development
Training Centre (PMCDT) in November, 2005 and upgraded it into Charity–Oriented
Myanmar (COM)

Vision/Mission
To contribute the social activities to the needy and wanting people regardless of any
boundary.
Main Goal
To provide the needy and wanting people in health, basic and professional education,
livelihood and water & sanitation program, that will lead them to self-reliant societies without
discrimination of race, religion, gender and age.

Objectives
• To ensure that the community be in unity in order to promote a better society.
• To increase sanitation facilities and improved hygiene through WASH activities and
hygiene knowledge.
• To provide learning opportunities with new technologies, for a level of people, so that they
would involve in building the country to a developed nation with high technologies.
• To give youths' health knowledge of infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Malaria and etc.
• To give basic educational opportunities to orphans, impoverished children who cannot
have the access of Education because of their various problems.
• To help as far as possible those who are learning at Monastery and Charity schools.

1. Capacity Building training for youths at Pizimaryone Monastic Charity Development
Training (PMCDT) center (Tamwe township, Yangon division)

2. Window Library Project. (Yangon Division)

3. HIV/AIDS awareness training in Yangon division.

Organization Experience
COM portfolio focused on the theme of education, capacity building for youths,
establishing library, health and water & sanitation programs through 2005 to until now. In there
we got some achievements done by our organization which are;
1. COM has founded Pizimaryone Monastic Charity Development Training (PMCDT) center in
2005.
2. COM has conducted HIV/AIDS awareness training in 2005 at PMCDT Centre.
3. COM supported to Monastery Education at west Kamakasit Monastery, Dala Township,
Yangon Division for a (2008-2009) academic year.
4. COM has established Window Library in 2007.
5. COM has been supporting books to Law Ka Ah Lin Library, TaungTwinGyi Township,
Magwe Division since 2007.

Supported Organization and supported funds


COM has been supported by MBCA in 2005-2006 for HIV/AIDS awareness training by
CBI in 2007 until now for capacity building for the staff, by AFXB from 2007 until now for
prevention and HIV/AIDS awareness training by British Council for WASH project in March,
2008 with the amount of USD 3460 and by American Centre for library service from 2007 until
present time.
For Nargis Respond and Rehabilitation Programs, COM has been supported by Paung Kuu
(Consortium), CARE Myanmar and NPA. In addition, COM is the one of member of MNGO
network group through September to till now.

Key strength of Organization


COM is able to provide the needy and wanting people in health, basic and professional
education and livelihood. It has experience in implementing water sanitation project and
founding library. It has strength of working for social development.
